Located by Moraine Lake, this rustic summer-only lodge features cozy accommodations with superb views, an elegant restaurant and cafe, and a hearty complimentary breakfast.
Moraine Lake Lodge – Sumptuous lodge by the magnificent blue Moraine Lake.
This remote and luxurious lodge is perched on the forested shoreline of the turquoise waters of Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. It’s incredibly scenic and all the rooms and cabins offer lake, forest, and mountain views. The setting is serene and peaceful as the lodge is the only development on the lake, situated at the end of a winding mountain road a short drive from the village of Lake Louise. All accommodations are stylish, cozy, and have a rustic flair, with most offering lovely wood-burning fireplaces. The restaurant is upscale and serves extraordinary cuisine. A delicious buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, canoes, and guided hikes are all complimentary. This calm oasis has no cell phone coverage or TVs and phones in any of the rooms or cabins. The lodge is open in the summer only.

Moraine Lake Lodge – The Basics
- Ages: Guests of all ages are welcome. No cribs though small day beds can be made. No kids menu but the chef will happily prepare some children’s dishes on request.

- Restaurant: Walter Wilcox Dining Room – Upscale and elegant restaurant with a large selection of wines. Open for breakfast (7am-10.15am) and dinner (5.30-9pm) only. Complimentary afternoon tea (3pm-5pm) served in the library.
- Café: Snowshoe Café – On-site snack bar serving deli foods, hot and cold meals, beverages, and ice creams. Hours 8am-4.30pm.

Moraine Lake Lodge – The Hotel
The reception is lovely, warm, and welcoming, complete with a roaring wood-burning fireplace.
Guest rooms in the Main Lodge are on two floors: main floor and second floor.
The Main Lodge rooms feature 2 double beds, balconies, and less-obstructed views.
Bathrooms have bathtub and shower combos.
Each standalone Cabin has two units (duplex style) with forest/lake/mountain views.
The Deluxe King Cabins are nestled into the forested shoreline and are cozy and rustic, with a woodsy vibe.
They have vaulted ceilings, unique corner-style wood-burning fireplaces, and warm earth-toned décor.
Knick-knacks around the cabin make it feel very homey.
The bathrooms are large with bath and shower combos.
The balconies are small and offer decent lake views.
Walter Wilcox Dining Room with its atrium is located in the Main Lodge.
This is the main hotel patio, separate from the Dining Room patio.
A wonderful selection of hot and cold buffet breakfast is served in the Walter Wilcox Dining Room every morning.
Walter Wilcox Dining Room serves upscale cuisine in a beautiful setting with its own outdoor patio.
The Library is in the Main Lodge and is invitingly charming.
Complimentary afternoon tea, coffee, and cookies are served daily in the Library.
Trading Post gift shop is located in the Main Lodge.

Moraine Lake is spectacular in its unique beauty with its turquoise water. It is bluer than Lake Louise, which has a green hue due to its rock flour content.
Lakeshore Hiking Trail is the main hiking path alongside Moraine Lake. It’s an easy, flat hike, 3km round-trip which takes approximately 40-60 minutes.
The Rockpile Hiking Trail is near the hotel. It is 0.8 km round-trip and usually takes about 15-20 mins. The easy (although steep) hike offers a gorgeous views of Moraine Lake.
