Review of Lebua at State Tower hotel in Bangkok

Views from the tall and stately Lebua at State Tower hotel are magnificent.

Lebua at State Tower – Opulent hotel in one of Thailand’s tallest buildings.

The luxurious all-suite Lebua hotel is in a prime location close to the expressway, ferry pier, and a BTS sky train station. It features spacious accommodations with living rooms, kitchenettes, and balconies offering dizzying views of the city. Guests are spoiled for choice in dining options which include some of the world’s best and highest bars and restaurants, including a two-Michelin-Star restaurant. The large outdoor pool and sundeck are very popular, as is the neighborhood: surrounded by small malls, shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, and close to the Chao Phraya river.

Lebua at State Tower – Local Transport

  • Walking: The hotel is located on the busy Silom road, with an excellent choice of hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops within walking distance.
  • Metro and Bus: The hotel is walking distance to Surasak BTS station (800m) and a complimentary shuttle is available during the day. There are bus stops outside the hotel on Silom and Charoen Krung roads. It’s easy to take a bus in Bangkok if you know the route and stop, but the conductors and drivers don’t speak English.
  • Taxis: Metered taxis are available in plenty, and the hotel staff will easily call one; or use the Grab taxi app. Tuk tuks also dot the street right outside the hotel, but they do not have meters, so bargain hard. Motorcycle taxis are available at every corner, but again, bargain hard.
