As well as noticeable charm and elegance, the staff is very personable and the suites extremely spacious. All feature kitchens and many have two bedrooms. Even more appealing for families are free rental of bicycles and DVDs and proximity on foot to trains and trams for the city center. Perhaps, not the best option if traveling with toddlers, but ideal for those with teenagers.

The state’s largest hotel is just one of three within the incredibly vast Crown Casino complex that includes endless places to eat, drink, and shop, as well as games arcades, bowling alleys, and cinemas in a building next to the Metropol. All categories of rooms are spacious and most face a surprisingly quiet street. Some rooms are particularly designed for families and special package deals are also routinely offered. Plenty of amenities are along the river and just across the bridge in the city center.
