Casa Del Sole Apartments – Self-catering apartments, with double beach frontage.
Facing one beach (Baie des Citrons), and overlooking another (Anse Vata), with a vast empty block in front, dramatic ocean views are guaranteed from all windows. The apartments are in a high-rise, easily the tallest in the immediate area, and feature one or two bedrooms, as well as kitchens, living areas, and laundry service. They’re all spacious and well-furnished, and the balconies are extended, with access from the bedrooms and living rooms. Other benefits are the proximity to chic bistros and the secure undercover parking. The pool, on top of the carpark building, is an added bonus.

Casa del Sole Apartments – The Hotel

Apartments are in a high-rise facing two beaches, with nothing obstructing views in all directions.

The Casa del Sole is easily the tallest building in the vicinity and impossible to miss.

Next to the entrance, a small café sells basic supplies.

The apartment building is at the junction of two beaches but closer to Baie des Citrons, an extensive cove of white sands and calm waters.

The pool at the apartment complex offers some views but is otherwise uninviting.

The pool needs some shade and more seating.

The apartments are spacious with plenty of furniture.

All apartments feature extended balconies offering sublime views across one or even two bays.

Balconies feature tables where guests can eat while admiring the views.

Bedrooms are large and spacious.

Some apartments could be better-furnished and feature some art to add color.

All apartments contain fully-equipped corner kitchens.

The apartment building faces Baie des Citrons, a beachside suburb of Noumea.

The beach at Baie des Citrons (Bay of Lemons) provides clean sand, calm water, and plenty of shade.

Within 200m north of the apartments are a row of delightful cafés and bars.

Within a row of cafés near the Case del Sole, Le Duke’s is an American-style diner offering burgers and shakes.

Near Le Duke’s, Il Fornaio is popular for pizza, pasta, and salads.

Only 200m north of the apartments, Les 3 Brasseurs brews its own beers and is popular for tapas, pizzas, and happy hours.

L’Agora, only 100m from the Casa del Sole, is more quietly set back from the road.

Facing L’Agora, La Barca is a bar, pizza joint, and nightclub all rolled into one.

About 4.5 km north of the Casa del Sole is the New Caledonian capital, Noumea.

The city center is lined with a shady pathway offering views across the harbor.

Much of the coastline in Noumea is lined with marinas, including this one at Baie de la Moselle.

Twice a month on Sundays, the Place des Cocotiers park in central Noumea comes alive with a flea market.

The city center is dotted with charming colonial-era buildings, including the City Museum.

A highlight of any visit to the center of Noumea is the Moselle Markets, which are open from 5am to 12pm daily (except Monday).

Dominating the upper eastern part of the city center, St Joseph’s Cathedral is one of several religious buildings around Noumea.
