The refined and elegant Peninsula Hotel in Paris’ 16th Arrondissement.
The Peninsula – Peaceful location in the 16th, a short stroll from the Champs Elysées and Arc de Triomphe. Opened in August 2014, the Peninsula has a refined, contemporary air while incorporating state of the art technology. Each room comes with a custom Samsung tablet that controls everything from room temperature to TV to room service. Printer/scanner/copiers and electric nail dryers come standard in every room. Each room also has a “valet box” – a discreet compartment within the dressing area where you can place laundry (to be washed) or shoes (to be shined) and an attentive staffer will whisk them away through a special access panel. Morning newspaper deliveries are made in the same unobtrusive way. But the most amazing detail of The Peninsula is the view. Dining at the rooftop restaurant L’Oiseau Blanc, patrons will be treated to an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying Michelin-worthy cuisine. Guests who are lucky enough to book the Katara Suite have their own private rooftop garden complete with sweeping views of all the major landmarks in Paris.

The Peninsula – The Hotel

The Peninsula hotel’s main entrance is on posh Avenue Kléber in Paris’ 16th arrondissement.

Its grand reception area features design elements that are repeated throughout the hotel’s common areas, such as polished marble floors…

…wide, airy corridors…

…and stylish seating nooks.

There are also a few luxury shops on site, located just off the lobby.

The beautiful Le Lobby restaurant is located on the Peninsula’s main floor.

Its Belle Epoque dining room is accented with tall palms, and features an elegant marble bar.

Le Lobby serves traditional French and International breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea, as well as brunch service on Sundays.

The same menu is served seasonally just outside of Le Lobby, on the hotel’s Kléber Terrace, looking out over the wide avenue of the same name.

Also on the hotel’s main floor, their Cantonese restaurant, Lili, offers gourmet Cantonese cuisine for lunch and dinner.

In addition to its grand main dining space, Lili also features a smaller dining room…

…and intimate booth seating.

The Peninsula’s historic Bar Kléber is one of two bars on site. It is located on the main floor, and is open from noon to 2am daily.

Fun fact: the Paris Peace Accords were signed here in 1973, ending the Vietnam War.

To access the hotel’s second bar, take the elevator up to the 6th floor…

…to Le Rooftop, which serves cocktails, snacks, and sandwiches from noon to 1am.

Le Rooftop also features comfortable lounge-style seating…

…and panoramic city views.

…including peek-a-boo views of the Eiffel Tower.

Also on the 6th floor, but inside, find L’Oiseau Blanc, the hotel’s spectacular fine dining restaurant with its glass-domed atrium and spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. (In the evening, the blinds are opened for unobstructed views.)

The aviation-themed L’Oiseau Blanc is named for an historic biplane, a 75% size model of which hovers next to the restaurant.

At Peninsula’s side entrance, on Avenue des Portugais, you’ll find valet parking attendants, as well as various luxury vehicles for chauffered guest transportation…

…including a vintage Rolls-Royce Phantom II.

Those looking for a more pedestrian way to get around will find the Kléber Metro station just around the corner from the hotel.

The Peninsula Paris is located two blocks from the Arc de Triomphe, a quick walk from the hotel to the Arc entrance.

The Trocadero’s amazing Eiffel Tower views are an easy walk south.

Opposite the river from the Trocadero (crossing on the Pont d’Iéna) is a popular spot for catching Seine tour boats. This is one from Vedettes de Paris.

Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum, is 15 minutes south of the hotel….

…with the Palais de Tokyo exhibition space just across the street.

From the hotel, a 15-minute walk southeast will take you to Avenue Montaigne’s luxury fashion houses like Louis Vuitton…

…and Dior.

For fine dining outside of the hotel, walk east to Le Cinq at the Four Seasons, which has earned 3 Michelin stars for its modern take on French cuisine.

Or for a more casual, yet still elevated option, head out for Wagyu beef hamburgers at Baagaa. Check rates and availability: The Peninsula
