QT is a chic hotel in a superb downtown location with colorful and luxurious rooms.
QT – A unique, convenient, and chic hotel.
Based above the historic State Theatre building and the adjacent former Gowings Department Store, QT is truly one of a kind. Very atmospheric and oozing personality, it unashamedly flouts its theatrical location and history – from the glitzy door staff to the props and dress dummies in the lobby. The rooms maintain a quirky Art Deco and Gothic décor. The Junior Suite is bright and spacious, with polished floorboards, cabinets of glowing glassware, and a great minibar. Some rooms overlook the Queen Victoria Building, home to an array of classy shops. However, the overwhelming selling points are the location and ambiance.

The QT is partially based in the old Gowings Department Store.

The hotel is in the middle of downtown, virtually on the corner of two of Sydney’s’ busiest streets: George Street, which runs all the way north to Circular Quay (1.2km) for the ferry terminal and south (700m) to Chinatown; and Market Street, which heads west (400m) to Darling Harbour, a bustling hub of shops, cafés and bars.

The Guests Lounge is convivial, with an array of colours and styles that dazzles.

Bright and cheery, the Guests Lounge is a wonderful place to relax.

The hotel features furniture and decor unseen anywhere else in the city.

Typically flamboyant, some rooms feature a glowing cabinet of glassware.

The furnishings are contemporary without being overly chic.
