Beautiful vacation rental in Wallingford Seattle. Perfect for large groups and families.

Seattle Vacation Rental in the Wonderful Neighborhood of Wallingford

This is my Seattle house and it should be available to rent by December 1, 2018. It’s a great home with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, brand new washer and dryer, a large hot tub, fire pit, air conditioning, tv room, dining room, living room, and modern kitchen with gas stove. There is street parking (with some restrictions) and garage parking that will fit one medium-sized SUV.

Rent for the House
November 1 to March 31: $475 per night
April 1 to June 15 & September 16 to October 31: $550 per night
June 16 to September 15: $625 per night

The location is simply awesome. Some of the best Seattle bars and restaurants are within a 10-minute walk. It’s located in the middle of the trendy neighborhoods of Wallingford and Fremont. Ballard and the U District (UW Campus) are walkable but probably best to use a bike (rental Lime Bikes are parked all over the neighborhood). Direct buses to downtown Seattle, the U District, and Ballard stop blocks from the house.

The pictures below are from the staging when we bought it two years ago – but it looks pretty similar. And it’s more fully-furnished now than in these photos.

  1. Wallingford House for Family Near Good Restaurants

We are considering staying at your house in March. We are a family of 4 and would be meeting another family of 7 who are staying at a Green Lake Airbnb in Seattle. Are there good kid-friendly restaurants near your home that would be appropriate for a group of 11? But with good food too. Thanks for your time.

Yes, there are many family-friendly restaurants in the area. Two of the best kid-friendly restaurants in Seattle are on Stone Way and a short walk from the house. Tutta Bella pizza is often packed with families and large groups and serves very good pizza and pasta. It’s a 5-minute walk from the house. In the opposite direction is the recently opened Super Bueno – a Mexican restaurant with a loud, fun vibe. It’s an 8-minute walk from the house. Another great choice is Murphy’s Pub on 45th street. It’s a 12-minute walk and serves very tasty pub food. Kids can stay there until about 10pm.

  2. Airbnb in Seattle University District for Family of 5

We’re looking for a family rental for 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids) near the U District of Seattle. Parks, restaurants, and a grocery store nearby would be great. Don’t mind an apartment but would like to keep cost between $200 and $275.

Honestly, as soon as you cross over (or under) the I-5 freeway into the U District (the freeway is the divide between Wallingford and the U District) the atmosphere changes a lot. It no longer feels like a leafy green neighborhood and feels much more urban, a little dirty, and rough around the edges. Not unsafe, necessarily. But much less beautiful. That rental appears to be very close to the freeway and will probably be noisy. If you could find something on the west side of the freeway (west of 4th Ave will have less freeway noise) you’ll still be close to UW but will be in a much more kid-friendly environment. The prices are a bit higher in Wallingford than in the U District, however.

  3. Seattle Wallingford Rental

Can you comment on this Wallingford Airbnb? Specifically, the location of the rental and what’s nearby? Close to bars and restaurants?

It looks to be about 3 or 4 blocks from my house and very close to several of Seattle’s best restaurants (The Whale Wins, Joule, and Manolin). All great places to eat and drink.

  4. Seattle House Rental near University of Washington

Your house looks wonderful and I love that area but we are looking for something a little closer to UW (preferably less than a 10-minute walk to the campus) – but still in Wallingford which is our favorite Seattle neighborhood. Is there a good Wallingford Airbnb for a family of 6 that you could recommend? We’d prefer a house over an apartment.

    Thanks.

This is a beautiful Wallingford house on Airbnb that has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. I’m friends with the owner and I know that guests love their home and hospitality. He’s been doing Airbnb for years. It’s on the eastern edge of Wallingford (we’re on the western edge) and close to UW. There’s a school playground across the street. It’s quieter there than in our area of Wallingford but there are still many restaurants within a 15-minute walk.
