The Siam – Beautiful riverfront hotel with sumptuous accommodations.
Luxurious boutique hotel set within lush gardens on the banks of Chao Phraya river, north of Wat Pho and the Grand Palace and close to the Dusit Palace complex. The suites and villas feature an impeccable and chic decor with large living areas and modern bathrooms with standalone tubs; the villas also have private outdoor pools. - Fitness Center: Large, well-equipped fitness club with a full Muay Thai boxing ring and punching bags. Yoga classes and Tai Chi on outdoor terrace. Private sessions with personal trainers.
- For Disabled Guests: None of the rooms are wheelchair accessible or disabled-friendly.

- Best Room: All the suites and villas are beautifully appointed and feature luxurious amenities, King-sized beds, and huge bathrooms with free-standing tubs, separate showers, and dual vanities. Connie’s Cottage is a gorgeous century-old multi-story teak house with luxurious furnishings, separate living room, large bathroom with a standalone tub, and a private outdoor pool.
- For Families: Most accommodations can sleep 3 guests. Rollaway beds and cribs are available.
The Siam – Local Transport
- Walking: The immediate area around the hotel is pleasant for walking as it comprises of universities, temples, and buildings in the palace complex.
- Metro and Bus: The nearest MRT (underground) station is Sirinshorn, both about 1.5 km (20-minute walk) away. There is a bus stop 2 doors north of the hotel. It’s easy to take a bus in Bangkok if you know the route and stop, but the conductors and drivers don’t speak English.
- Taxis: Metered taxis are available in plenty, and the hotel staff will easily call one; or use the Grab taxi app. Tuk tuks also dot the street right outside the hotel, but they do not have meters, so bargain hard. Motorcycle taxis are available at every corner, but again, bargain hard.

- Vimanmek Mansion – This beautiful summer villa built by King Rama V is the world’s largest teak structure within the Dusit Palace complex. 1 km east.
- Grand Palace – The huge complex consists of the current home of His Majesty the King of Thailand along with buildings, a museum, and the temple of the Emerald Buddha, which are open to the public. Check dress code before visiting. (5 km south).
- Wat Pho – 16th-century temple housing the famous 46m Reclining Buddha and several marble inscriptions on ancient medicine and science. Check dress code before visiting. (5 km south).
- Siam Museum – Modern museum showcasing the rich history and culture of Thailand. (5 km south).
- Wat Arun – Across the river. Ferry can be caught from the Tien pier (5 km south, next to Tien Market).
