Hi. I’m Santorini Dave. I’ve always believed in transparency on the web and would like to disclose that I’ve included certain products, tours, hotels, and various travel-related links on this site that I will earn an affiliate commission from for any purchases or bookings you make. My goal with the site is to help inform you about different aspects of travel planning – whether it be ferries, flights, hotels, tours, books, or travel gear – but please understand I am doing this as a for-profit business. The site has grown so large and varied at this point that it is nearly impossible to go back and list each and every business that I have an affiliate link to. Given this (and just to be safe) you should assume that any links leading you to services or booking sites are affiliate links that I will receive compensation from. To the best of my knowledge this never affects the price you pay for any product or service.
The site is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn income by linking to Amazon.com. For example, when I link to a book about Paris, if you click on that link and buy a product from Amazon (even if it’s not the book about Paris) I will earn a percentage of the final sale. For books this percentage is 4.5%. Once again, this does not affect the price you pay for any product from Amazon.
This bears repeating. The above affiliate links will never add any expense, fee, or charge to you, the purchaser. In simple terms, the affiliate links do not change what you pay at all.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]
Cheers and happy travels!
