We love Lisbon’s waterfront Parque das Nações for families – it’s got an impressive aquarium (whose welcoming mascot, Vasco – as in de Gama – is shown above), hands-on science museum, cable car, sprawling parks and open spaces to run around, and lots of kid-friendly restaurants and cafes. Good family-friendly hotels near the Parque das Nações include Myriad, Olissippo Oriente, and Tivoli Oriente.
