Park Hyatt Tokyo – Best for Laps

This is one of my favorite hotels in Tokyo. Amazing pool (26×65 feet) on the 47th floor at one of Tokyo’s finest hotels. Fantastic spa and fitness center on the same floor. Floor to ceiling windows offer great views of the city. Ages 3 to 15 allowed when accompanied by an adult. Hotel phone: +81 3 5322-1234

Grand Hyatt Tokyo – Best for Kids

Large lap pool. Free use of pool for guests though change rooms with sauna and plunge pools have a ¥4,200 fee. Hotel phone: +81 3-4333-1234

  • Hotel East 21 Tokyo

    Superb 20m 3-lane indoor pool on the 14th floor with excellent city views. Sauna and jacuzzi also.
  • ANA InterContinental Tokyo
    Good sized outdoor pool (and smaller kids’ pool) is open in summer.
  • Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo
    Large outdoor pool with separate children’s pool. Open June 23 to September 9. Fee: ¥1,000 to ¥2,000 depending on time of day. Kids free.
  • Shinagawa Prince Hotel
    Indoor (good for laps) and outdoor pool (summer only). Part of a very large hotel complex. Fee: ¥1,000.
  • Hotel New Otani Tokyo
    Huge outdoor pool open in summer (open to public so can get very busy). Indoor lap pool is part of the spa. Both pools have a fee that varies by time of day and isn’t cheap (max fee: ¥5,250).
  • Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo
    Relaxing indoor pool and large jacuzzi. Fee: ¥4,200; ¥2,100 for kids 4 to 12. (Fee applies for 2 days and 1 night.) Kids under 4 not permitted.
  • Hyatt Regency Tokyo
    Good sized lap pool. Spa, fitness center, and jacuzzi. Fee: ¥2,100. Must be 4 and older to use pool.
  • Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo
    Small heated indoor glass pool on the 22nd floor with awesome views. Free for hotel guests.
  • The Peninsula Tokyo
    Kids need to be 4 and older. Beautiful 20m indoor pool. Adults-only after 6pm. Fitness center and spa are fantastic.
