Lovely Italian restaurant in Monastiraki with a charming old school theme.
School Pizza Bar is a lively and trendy Italian restaurant in Monastiraki with a superb old school decor (literally). The moderately-priced menu features pizza, pasta, gnocchi, risotto, salad, Greek and Italian wines, and cocktails, with good vegetarian options. Stepping in, guests are transported back to a classroom with the blackboard, wooden tables and chairs, and lockers in the bathroom. This family-friendly restaurant has a super-friendly staff, great breakfast till 1:30 pm every day, and is usually busy, so recommendations are recommended unless guests don’t mind waiting a bit.

School Pizza Bar’s outdoor dining area features school desks and chairs.
Inside the entrance is the large bar where classic cocktails are made.
Indoor seating is spread across many levels.
There are 2 levels of tables below the bar and 1 level above.
The first level under the bar is quite spacious and features a large, old school cabinet.
Dining desks and more school supplies decorate the lowest level.
Vintage tools and building supplies are featured throughout.
There’s even a large blackboard on the top level.
A staircases abacus and school supplies.
Even the menu is reminiscent of the good old school days.
And the bathroom has a bank of school lockers.
The arugula and gorgonzola salad with baby spinach, pear, caramelized walnuts, crispy prosciutto, and a homemade fruit vinaigrette is delicious.
Pizza Bianca is their specialty pizza – a perfectly baked thin and crispy crust with mozzarella, parmesan, fresh tomatoes, roka, and vresaola (cured beef.)
