• Camden Town is a creative, eclectic area in North London. The Regents Canal runs through the neighborhood, and there are specialty shops, lots of street art, myriad restaurants and a few budget, mid-range and luxury hotels. Camden Town is centered around a main high street, making it walkable and easy to explore on foot.
• Its main attraction is Stables Market (part of Camden Market), with stores specializing in vintage goods, vinyl records, jewelry, antiques, and delicious street food.
• Waterbuses operate between Camden Lock and Little Venice (4km away) transporting you along the picturesque canal to the entrance of ZSL London Zoo.
• It’s a pleasant easy 10-minute walk to Primrose Hill from Camden Town. This grassy park is the perfect place for a picnic and best-known for its incredible views over London.
• Camden Town is blessed with some of the city’s best restaurants, serving everything from vegan dishes to burgers, fish and chips, Indian and Caribbean food. There are also several fast food outlets, bars, jazz clubs, and cafes dotted along Camden High Street.
• Airbnb offers a large selection of reasonably priced 1 and 2-bedroom rentals in and around Camden Town. The area only has a handful of hotels (all of them pretty good).
• Camden Town Underground Station offers direct connections via the Northern Line to Hampstead to the north, Kings Cross/St Pancras, Leicester Square, and the River Thames Embankment stations to the south. The neighborhood is also well-served by buses going to many points in central London.
• To reach Heathrow Airport via underground, take the Northern Line from Camden Town to Leicester Square then transfer to the Piccadilly Line for Heathrow Airport terminals. Paddington Station also operates a fast link Heathrow Express Train which takes 15-20 minutes. Paddington can be reached by underground from Camden Town via King’s Cross/St. Pancras. For Gatwick Airport, buses operate from Camden Town Station to Victoria where you can transfer to the Gatwick Express rail link.
