Lucky’s Souvlaki is on the main street in Fira. Bus station is a one-minute walk away.
Lucky’s Souvlaki is the classic cheap-eats stop in Fira and still one of the best-value meals on Santorini. It is just around the corner from the main bus station, which makes it especially useful before a bus to Oia, after arriving from the port, or when you want something quick that is not another expensive caldera-view meal.
The gyros are the reason to come. They are big, messy, filling, and about as close as Santorini gets to a proper bargain. This is not a romantic dinner spot, and there is no view unless you count buses, scooters, and people-watching on the main Fira artery. But for a fast lunch, late snack, or low-cost meal in the middle of Fira, Lucky’s is hard to beat.
Vegetarians have limited choices, usually Greek salad and tomato balls, so I would not send a vegetarian here as a first pick. For meat eaters, it is an easy recommendation. No reservations, no fuss, and usually a line that moves quickly.
Lucky’s Souvlaki Hours and Information
- Season: Open through the year.
- Hours: Open daily, roughly 10 am to 11 pm. Hours can shift by season, so check before making a special trip.
- Location: Downtown Fira.
- Telephone: +30-228-602-2003
- View: No caldera view. It is on a busy main road, so the view is people, scooters, buses, and Fira street life.
- Parking: Use public lots around central Fira. Parking can be frustrating in high season, so walking or taking the bus is easier.
- Bus: Fira’s main bus station is right around the corner.
- Best for: Gyros, quick lunches, cheap dinners, cheap beer, solo travelers, families, and anyone using the Fira bus station.
- Not ideal for: A romantic meal, a long sit-down dinner, vegetarians, or anyone looking for views and atmosphere.

One of my favorite spots in Fira.

The man himself, Lucky, white shirt.

The perfect combo.
