Santorini Heated Pools – My Advice
- Santorini is famous for its caldera views, and those views are best enjoyed from a pool. However, unheated pools here stay surprisingly cold. Even during the peak of summer, the island’s winds and cool nights mean that an unheated pool is often too chilly for a comfortable swim. If you are visiting in the shoulder months like May, June, September, or October, I highly recommend booking a hotel with a heated pool.
- Best Heated Pool for Sunset Views: Cavo Tagoo features a spectacular infinity pool with floating daybeds. It is positioned perfectly to watch the sun drop into the Aegean Sea while you swim in warm water.
- Best Heated Pool for Families: Andronis Concept is one of the few luxury caldera hotels that truly welcomes children. Their large main pool is heated and provides more space than the typical plunge pools found elsewhere on the cliffs.
- Best Heated Pool in Oia: Katikies Hotel – Pelagos House has three stunning infinity pools, the main being heated. Being able to swim while looking out at the iconic blue domes of Oia is a highlight for many of my readers.
- Best Heated Pool in Imerovigli: Cavo Tagoo is the top pick in this village. Imerovigli sits at the highest point of the caldera, so the wind can be stronger here, making the pool heating even more essential for a pleasant experience.
- Best Heated Pool in Fira: Athina Luxury Suites offers a beautiful infinity pool with direct views of the volcano and the cruise ships below. It is one of the best spots in the capital for a heated swim with a view.
