Milos is an awesome destination for kids and families. (My son jumping in the sea on a Milos boat tour.)
Milos Family Hotels – Tips and Recommendations
- Booking.com is the best website for booking hotels on Milos.
- Pollonia is my favorite area for families. It has a sandy beach with shallow water, a playground, good restaurants, and several of the island’s best family hotels. Adamas is more convenient if you don’t have a rental car, with the ferry port, main bus hub, boat tours, and the island’s largest choice of shops and restaurants.
- Paliochori and Provatas are the best choices for a beach-focused stay. Paliochori has good swimming, restaurants, and Artemis Seaside Resort. Provatas has soft sand and shallow water, with Golden Milos Beach House directly on the beach.
- A boat tour to Kleftiko is one of my favorite things to do with kids on Milos. For beaches, Pollonia and Provatas are easiest with younger children. Paliochori and Firiplaka are also excellent, while Sarakiniko is worth visiting for the white volcanic landscape and swimming but has very little sand.
The 13 Best Family Hotels in Milos
1. Captain Zeppos – Pollonia
Small, family-friendly hotel on the water with spacious suites sleeping 3 to 6 and a 4-bedroom villa sleeping up to 11. The suites have kitchens or kitchenettes, private outdoor space, and sea views. The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and private terraces. There’s also a pool, playground, and direct access to the sea. Excellent location a short walk from sandy Pollonia Beach, the village center, and restaurants.2. Artemis Seaside Resort – Paliochori
Family-friendly beach resort at Paliochori with rooms, suites, and family apartments sleeping 2 to 6. The hotel has a large pool, restaurant, Aqua Loca beach club, and easy access to Paliochori Beach. Rooms have refrigerators, microwaves, and private balconies or terraces. A great choice for families who want a pool and beach and don’t need to be within walking distance of a village. Free parking is available, and a rental car is recommended.3. Delmar Apartments & Suites – Pollonia
Apartments and suites in the heart of Pollonia, including several good options for families. The Junior Suite sleeps 4 with a separate bedroom, living room with 2 sofa beds, and kitchenette; larger apartments and family suites offer more space. The location is excellent: close to Pollonia Beach and its playground, across from a grocery store, near the bus stop, and surrounded by restaurants and shops.4. Melian Boutique Hotel & Spa – Pollonia
Luxury hotel on the water with two particularly good options for families. The Junior Deluxe Suite sleeps 4 with a queen bed, double sofa bed, large veranda, and outdoor jacuzzi. The Family Suite sleeps 5 in 2 connecting rooms with 2 bathrooms, 2 verandas, and 2 outdoor jacuzzis. Breakfast is included, and the hotel has a Greek-Mediterranean restaurant. Pollonia Beach and the village center are about a 5-minute walk away.5. Unique Milos Suites – Pollonia
Three beachfront suites at the north end of Pollonia Beach. The Premium Suite is the best choice for families, sleeping 4 with a queen bed, 2 sofa beds, kitchenette, and 2 bathrooms. All suites have private outdoor space and direct beach access, with sunbeds and beanbags under tamarisk trees. Restaurants, shops, Pollonia Beach, and the ferry to Kimolos are a short walk away.6. Salt Suites by Mr and Mrs White – Pollonia
Waterfront boutique hotel in northern Pollonia, a short walk from the beach, playground, and restaurants. Most rooms are designed for couples, but the Firiplaka Suite and Paleochori Family Suite sleep 4; the latter has an outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast is available, and several other suites sleep 3. Best for smaller families who want a quiet waterfront location close to Pollonia.7. Vira Vivere Houses – Plakes
Apartments and houses in Plakes, just north of Plaka, with some of the best layouts on Milos for larger families. Options include 1, 2, and 3-bedroom accommodations with kitchens and private outdoor space. The largest is a 2-floor maisonette with 3 separate bedrooms. Free parking makes this a good base for families with a rental car, and Plaka is close by.8. Milia Gi Suites – Pollonia
Small hotel close to the beach, restaurants, and shops in Pollonia. The Family Suite sleeps 4 with a separate bedroom, living room with 2 sofa beds, kitchenette, and 2 verandas. Smaller suites and studios work well for families of 3. Breakfast is included and delivered to the suite.9. Hotel Rigas – Adamas
Family-run hotel near Papakinou Beach with studios and apartments, kitchenettes, balconies, breakfast, and free parking. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and central Adamas. A good choice for families who want more space and a kitchen while staying close to the port and bus connections.10. Ageri-Milos Deluxe Studios & Suites – Adamas
Studios and apartments in a quiet part of Adamas, with kitchens, private outdoor space, and larger units suitable for families. It’s about a 5-minute walk to restaurants and an easy walk to the port. A practical choice if you want the convenience of Adamas but prefer an apartment to a standard hotel room.11. Portiani Suites – Adamas
Central hotel overlooking the port in Adamas. The Family Suite and larger Deluxe Family Suite both sleep 4 with 2 large double beds. The location is the main reason to stay here: restaurants, shops, buses, and the ferry port are all close by. A convenient choice for families without a rental car.12. Aeolis Hotel – Adamas
Great-value hotel with spacious triple and quadruple rooms, private balconies or patios, mini fridges, and free parking. It’s in a quiet part of Adamas about a 5-minute walk from the port, bus station, restaurants, and shops. One of the best budget choices for a family that wants to stay in Adamas.13. Golden Milos Beach House – Provatas
5-star hotel directly on sandy Provatas Beach, with an outdoor pool, children’s pool, restaurant, and Salty Goat Beach Club. The beach has soft sand and shallow water and is one of my favorites on Milos for young children. The drawback for families is room capacity: most rooms sleep 2, and just a few sleep 2 adults and 1 child. Best for a family of 3 that wants a quiet beach stay. Free parking is available, and a rental car is recommended.Read More
