Paros Hotels: My Favorites
- 5-Star: Cosme
- 4-Star: Opal
- Boutique: Stelia Mare
- Cheap: Villa Isabella
- Beach Resort: Cove
- For Couples: Mythic
- For Families: Poseidon
- Parikia: Argonauta
- Naoussa: Cosme

Most Naoussa beach hotels are near Piperi Beach or Agii Anargyri Beach, pictured here with the wonderful Kalypso Hotel visible just beside the sand.
The best beach hotels in Paros are not all in the same area, and the right choice depends on what kind of beach trip you want. For a family-friendly resort stay, I like Poseidon of Paros at Golden Beach. For luxury near Naoussa, choose Cosme or Cove Paros. For a quieter, barefoot-style beachfront stay near Antiparos, look at Seesoo.
The biggest thing to understand: “beach hotel” in Paros does not always mean a classic resort directly on a long sandy beach. Some hotels are truly beachfront. Some are across a road. Some sit above a beach with stairs down. Some are near a beach but not practical for swimming every day. Check the exact hotel location, the beach quality, and whether you will want a car for dinner.
Paros Beach Hotels – My Advice
- 1. Best overall beach hotel: Poseidon of Paros at Chrissi Akti, also called Golden Beach. This is my top pick for families and travelers who want space, pools, beach access, and a proper resort feel.
- 2. Best luxury beach hotels near Naoussa: Cosme and Cove Paros. Both sit by Agii Anargyri Beach and are walkable to Naoussa’s restaurants and nightlife. This is the best combination of beach and town atmosphere on Paros.
- 3. Best beach-adjacent hotel for Naoussa walkability: Avant Mar by Piperi Beach. It is very close to the beach and an easy walk to Naoussa, but Piperi is more of a convenient town beach than a destination beach.
- 4. Best quiet beachfront stay: Seesoo Paros Beachfront Resort near Pounta. This is better for a calm, low-key stay and Antiparos access than for Naoussa nightlife. A car is helpful.
- 5. Best cheap hotel near the beach: Pension Sofia in Parikia. It is not beachfront, but it is good value and within walking distance of Livadia Beach, the ferry port, the bus station, and the old town.
- 6. Know the beach tradeoff before booking. Naoussa beach hotels give you restaurants, nightlife, and village charm, but the town beaches are not the best beaches on Paros. Golden Beach has more sand and space, but evenings are quieter and a car helps. Pounta is good for water sports and Antiparos access, but it is not a traditional village base.
- 7. Wind matters on Paros. July and August can be windy. Golden Beach and New Golden Beach are famous for windsurfing for a reason. They are great beaches, but not always the calmest swimming spots for young kids. If sheltered swimming is the priority, look at Aliki, Faragas, Monastiri, Logaras, or calmer parts of Naoussa depending on the day.
- 8. Do not assume you can walk everywhere. A hotel can look close to a beach or town on the map but involve stairs, a road crossing, no sidewalk, or a dark walk at night. This is especially important around Naoussa, Parasporos, Pounta, and some hillside hotels.
- 9. Book early for beach hotels. The best beach hotels in Paros sell out early for June through September, especially family rooms, suites, sea-view rooms, private-pool rooms, and beachfront categories. For July and August, book 4 to 6 months ahead if possible.
The public stairway to Piperi Beach in Naoussa, Paros. Many hotels in Naoussa sit on hilltops overlooking the beach, accessible by stairs then crossing the street, as seen here. Villa Isabella is on the right.
The Best Beach Hotels in Paros
These are the Paros hotels I recommend most for travelers who want to stay by the water. Some are true beachfront hotels. Some are beach-adjacent, which can still be a great setup if the location is good. I have noted the difference where it matters.
1. Poseidon of Paros – Chrissi Akti Beach
Best overall Paros beach hotel, especially for families. Poseidon of Paros sits between Chrissi Akti Beach and Nea Chrissi Akti, also called Golden Beach and New Golden Beach. This is the best area on Paros for a classic beach-resort stay: long sand, space, water sports, pools, and a less crowded feel than Naoussa.
This is the hotel I recommend most for families who want a beach holiday rather than a village-hopping trip. Rooms and suites vary, so check the exact category if you want more space, sea views, or family-friendly layouts. The resort has plenty of outdoor space, which is a big advantage over many smaller Naoussa hotels.
The tradeoff is location. Golden Beach is excellent by day, but it is not a lively evening town. You will want a car if you plan to eat in Piso Livadi, Naoussa, Parikia, Lefkes, or Aliki. Also remember that this is one of the windier parts of Paros, great for windsurfing but not always the calmest choice for little kids on windy days.
2. Cosme – Naoussa
Best luxury beach hotel in Naoussa. Cosme is one of the top hotels on Paros and the best choice if you want 5-star comfort, beach access, and the ability to walk into Naoussa for dinner. It sits by Agii Anargyri Beach on the east side of the village, far enough from the late-night center to feel calmer, but close enough to be practical.
This is a great hotel for couples, honeymooners, and travelers who want luxury without being isolated. The pool area, design, and setting are excellent. The beach is useful and attractive, but do not confuse it with the long sandy beaches of Naxos or Golden Beach. You are booking Cosme for the whole package: hotel, beach, Naoussa, dining, and easy evenings.
The tradeoff is price. Also check room categories carefully. Sea views, outdoor spaces, plunge pools, and terraces apply to specific rooms, not necessarily every room.
3. Cove Paros – Naoussa
Best resort-style beach stay in Naoussa. Cove Paros is a stylish beachfront hotel by Agii Anargyri Beach, with a pool, beach setup, and a calmer feel than staying in the heart of Naoussa’s lanes. It is one of the best choices if you want beach time during the day and Naoussa restaurants at night.
It works well for couples and families who want comfort, service, and an easy village walk without being in the middle of the nightlife. The hotel feels more resort-like than old-town boutique, which is exactly what many travelers want from a beach hotel.
The tradeoff is similar to Cosme: the location is excellent for Naoussa, but the beach itself is not the best swimming beach on the island. For bigger beach days, use water taxis or a car to reach Kolymbithres, Monastiri, Santa Maria, Golden Beach, or Antiparos.
4. Seesoo Paros Beachfront Resort – Pounta
Best quiet beachfront hotel for Antiparos access. Seesoo is a relaxed, stylish beachfront hideaway near Pounta on the west coast of Paros. This is not the place to stay if you want to walk into Naoussa every night. It is the place to stay if you want a quieter beach base, easy access to Antiparos, and a more barefoot, low-key feel.
Pounta is best known for kiteboarding, wind, water sports, and the short ferry to Antiparos. That makes Seesoo a good choice for couples, independent travelers, and repeat visitors who want something calmer than the main towns.
The tradeoff is logistics. A car is strongly recommended. Without one, evenings and restaurant choices are limited. If you want nightlife, shopping, and easy buses, stay in Naoussa or Parikia instead.
5. Avant Mar – Naoussa
Best beach-adjacent hotel near Piperi Beach. Avant Mar is one of the most convenient luxury hotels in Naoussa, close to Piperi Beach and an easy walk to the village center. It is a great choice if you want a polished hotel, pool, stylish rooms, and the ability to walk to dinner without dealing with taxis or parking.
Piperi is the most useful beach in Naoussa because it sits close to the village and has sunset-facing views, but it is not the island’s best beach. Think of Avant Mar as a Naoussa hotel with excellent beach proximity, not a remote beach resort.
The tradeoff is that you are paying for location and design as much as sand and swimming. For a better pure beach holiday, choose Poseidon at Golden Beach. For Naoussa atmosphere with beach access, Avant Mar is a strong pick.
6. Kalypso Hotel – Naoussa
Best simple beach hotel near Naoussa. Kalypso Hotel is a good 3-star choice on the Agii Anargyri side of Naoussa. It is much simpler than Cosme or Cove, but the location is excellent if you want a beach nearby and an easy walk to the village.
This is a good option for travelers who want Naoussa without paying luxury prices. It works well for practical couples, solo travelers, and anyone who plans to spend most of the day exploring rather than sitting around the hotel.
The tradeoff is that it is more modest than the top hotels on this list. Book it for location and value, not luxury.
Best Areas for Beach Hotels in Paros
- Golden Beach / New Golden Beach: Best for families, windsurfing, space, and resort-style beach stays. The downside is wind and quieter evenings. A car helps.
- Naoussa beaches: Best for combining beach access with restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and boutique hotels. Piperi and Agii Anargyri are convenient but not the island’s best beaches.
- Pounta: Best for kiteboarding, wind sports, Antiparos access, and quieter beachfront hotels. Not a village base. A car is important.
- Parasporos: Best for a lively beach-club scene close to Parikia. Good for couples and younger travelers, less ideal for families who want quiet evenings.
- Aliki: Best for families and a slower beach-village stay. Good tavernas, calmer feel, and close to the airport.
- Piso Livadi / Logaras: Best for a relaxed east-coast village stay with beach access, tavernas, and easier access to Golden Beach and inland villages.
- Santa Maria: Best for organized beach days near Naoussa, with sand, sunbeds, water sports, and beach clubs. Better as a day beach than a main hotel base for most travelers.
What are the best beaches on Paros?
Kolymbithres Beach is the most famous beach in Paros, but there are no hotels here.
Paros has a wide range of beaches, and the best one depends on what you want from the day. Kolymbithres is the most photographed beach, known for its smooth granite formations and small sandy coves, but there are no hotels right on the beach and it gets crowded in peak season. Golden Beach and New Golden Beach are best for windsurfing, space, and a beach-holiday feel. Santa Maria is good for organized beach days near Naoussa. Aliki and Faragas are better for families and more sheltered swimming. Piso Livadi and Logaras are relaxed and practical if you want beach plus village life.
The best beach near Naoussa is Piperi for convenience, while Agii Anargyri is better for beach-adjacent hotels. The best beach near Parikia is Parasporos, though Livadia is easier if you just want a quick swim near town. Kalogeros is known for its clay cliffs and mud-mask tradition, but you will need a car and it is better as a day trip than a hotel base.

Paros Beach Hotel FAQ
Are there true beachfront hotels in Paros?
Yes, but fewer than many travelers expect. Poseidon of Paros, Cosme, Cove, Seesoo, and Kalypso are among the better beachfront or very beach-adjacent options. Many other “beach hotels” are across a road, above a beach, or a few minutes inland.
Where should families stay for a beach holiday?
Golden Beach is my top pick for families who want a resort-style beach stay, especially at Poseidon of Paros. Aliki and Piso Livadi are better for a smaller village feel. Naoussa can work with kids, but it is busier, more expensive, and less beach-focused.
Where should couples stay near the beach?
Naoussa is best for couples who want beach access plus restaurants, bars, shopping, and nightlife. Cosme, Cove, Avant Mar, Lilly Residence, Hotel Senia, and Stelia Mare are all good depending on budget and exact location. For a quieter beachfront stay, look at Seesoo near Pounta.
Do I need a car if I book a beach hotel in Paros?
If you stay in Naoussa or Parikia, you can manage without a car. If you stay at Golden Beach, Pounta, Parasporos, Aliki, Piso Livadi, or a quieter beach area, a car makes the trip much easier, especially for dinners and exploring.
Which Paros beach hotels are best without a car?
Naoussa beach hotels are best without a car because you can walk to restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Avant Mar, Cosme, Cove, Kalypso, and other hotels near Piperi or Agii Anargyri are the most practical beach-hotel choices for no-car travelers.
Is Golden Beach good for swimming?
Yes, Golden Beach is sandy, spacious, and beautiful, but it is also one of the windier beaches on Paros. It is excellent for windsurfing and active beach days. On very windy days, families with young kids may prefer a more sheltered beach.
