  1. Cosmopolitan or Blue Canaves Boutique in Santorini

Thanks for great info. Any recommendations between the Cosmopolitan vs Blue Canaves Boutique hotel in Santorini? We like to walk everywhere, don’t spend much time at the pool but like modern conveniences. Thanks.

    1. Santorini Dave The Hotel Expert

Both are great places to stay and walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The biggest difference is that Cosmopolitan is in Fira (busier, more shopping, more nightlife) and Blue Canaves is in Oia (more low key but still plenty busy from the afternoon to sunset).

  2. East West Suites

    Hi Dave.

What are your thoughts on the East West Suites in Santorini?

    1. Santorini Dave The Hotel Expert

Beautiful suites and pools. Incredible views. Might lack just a little bit of character compared to the very best hotels. Not a lot within a short walk but great restaurants in Imerovigli are about a 15 minute walk. Bus stop is 2 minutes away from hotel.

  3. Best Honeymoon Hotels in Greece

We’ll have an 8-night honeymoon on the Greek Islands of Santorini and Mykonos. Looking more for a fun active honeymoon with nightlife and cool restaurants rather than a quiet secluded vacation. Want to stay in Mykonos Town and Fira for proximity to shopping, bars, places to eat. What two hotels would you recommend for a honeymoon in Santorini and Mykonos?
    Thanks, Holly.

    1. Santorini Dave The Hotel Expert

The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Fira and the Belvedere in Mykonos Town have a fun/hip vibe and are close to restaurants, clubs, and shopping. Both are great hotels.

  4. Gash

Thanks to your guide we were able to maximize and enjoy our trip to Greece and it’s islands. Best guide by far. Keep up the great work

      Thanks! Glad it was helpful.

  5. Honeymoon on the Greek Islands

Trying to decide between Mykonos and Santorini for our honeymoon? Or maybe we could do both? We have 10 days (late June) in Greece and fly into Athens. We’d like to have a day at the beginning and end of our trip in Athens to acclimatize and sightseeing. Then what?

    Thank you,
    Margaret

You have plenty of time so yes, I would definitely visit both Mykonos and Santorini. 4 days in each, or 3 in Mykonos, 5 in Santorini. Weather will be perfect. Ferries will be running directly between both islands (about 3 hours, reserve tickets here). Book hotels ASAP.
