Santorini Brewing Company – Mesa Gonia – If you love beer, put Santorini Brewing Company on your list of things to do. – The brewery started 8 years ago with crazy, yellow, and red donkey beers. – Then came the first limited beer, white donkey, which is brewed 5-6 times per year. – If you’re lucky, you will get to sample the very limited slow donkey beer, which is brewed once a year. It’s barrel-aged for 13 months, then aged for 2 months in a glass bottle. – Lazy ass beer is the latest addition to the brewery, it’s 1 year old. – A casual, friendly environment, the brewery does not do organized tours or taste-testing but the staff are more than happy to talk to you about their beers and offer you samples. – Donkey beer t-shirts, merchandise, and beer are available for purchase. – Pyrgos and Kamari are nearby towns. – Take the Fira-to-Kamari bus to get to the brewery. Ask the driver to stop at the Santorini Brewing Company in Mesa Gonia. There is a bus stop right outside the brewery. – Limited parking available. Phone: +30 2286 030268 • Email: info@donkeybeer.gr

Located on the main road between Fira and Kamari. Definitely too far to walk from Fira.

The bus stop in front of the brewery. This is looking towards Kamari and where you’ll get off the bus coming from Fira.

Inside the brewery.

Lots of great t-shirts for sale.

Beer vats and kegs inside the brewery.

Donkey on tap.

Popular drink around the island (though only in bottles at bars and restaurants, not on tap anywhere that I know of).
