Santorini Private Pools: My Tips

The terminology is confusing. In Santorini, a “private pool” might be a small plunge pool, heated hot tub, cave pool, jetted tub, or proper swimming pool. Always check the exact room category, not just the hotel.

1. What does “private pool” actually mean in Santorini?

• Private means private use, not full privacy. The pool is for your room only, but it may be visible from nearby terraces, hotel paths, restaurants, or the public caldera path.
• Room categories matter. One suite can have a heated plunge pool and great view, while another at the same hotel has a small jacuzzi, partial view, or less privacy.
• For more privacy, look beyond the busiest caldera villages. Villas, top suites, Akrotiri, Pyrgos, Finikia, and the hotels between Imerovigli and Oia generally give you more space.
• My favorite hotels for pool privacy: Santorini Sky, Aenaon Villas, Canaves Epitome, Santorini Heights, and Santorini Princess Presidential Suites.

2. Should I book a heated pool?

• Usually, yes, especially in April, May, early June, late September, and October.
• An unheated plunge pool can be pretty chilly on a cool or windy day.
• Heating matters much less in July and August.
• If the private pool is a big reason you’re booking the room, I strongly prefer heated outside peak summer.

3. What’s the difference between a plunge pool, cave pool, hot tub, and jacuzzi?

• Plunge Pool: A small pool for sitting, soaking, and cooling off. Usually too small for swimming. It may or may not be heated.
• Hot Tub or Jacuzzi: Heated and jetted. Especially nice in spring, fall, and evenings.
• Cave Pool: Built partly or fully into the volcanic rock. Usually more sheltered and private, but darker and less open to the view.
• Infinity Pool: An infinity edge looks great with a caldera view, but tells you nothing about the pool’s size, temperature, or privacy.
• Indoor Jacuzzi: This can mean a real hot tub or simply a jetted bathtub that you fill and drain. Check the room description and photos.

4. Is a private pool worth it in Santorini?

• For a honeymoon, anniversary, or special trip, yes, if the budget allows.
• Your terrace is often a big part of a Santorini stay, so I think a good private pool or hot tub can be worth the splurge.
• I would not pay a huge premium for one with no view, little privacy, and no heating. I’d rather book a better hotel or a better caldera-view room without the pool.

Best Areas in Santorini for Private Pool Hotels

• Oia: Best for luxury hotels, honeymoon suites, famous views, and the classic Santorini setting. Sunset views and caldera views are not always the same thing.
• Imerovigli: My favorite village for private pools with caldera views. The views are spectacular and the village is quieter than Oia or Fira.
• Firostefani: Great caldera views with an easy walk into Fira. Private pools are usually small plunge pools or hot tubs.
• Fira: Best if you want a private pool plus restaurants, nightlife, shopping, buses, and taxis nearby.
• Akrotiri: More space, fewer crowds, and some excellent caldera views. A car is strongly recommended.
• Pyrgos and inland villages: Better privacy and larger pools. Views are usually panoramic island or sea views rather than classic caldera views.
• Beach hotels: Larger pools and more space, especially for families, but no caldera setting.

Oia Hotels with Private Pools

Oia has Santorini’s most famous luxury hotels and some of its best private pools. Caldera-facing and sunset-facing rooms can have very different views, so know which one you’re booking.

270 Oia’s View – Oia

All villas feature private pools. Villas range from one to four bedrooms and accommodate up to ten people. Lots of space for families and groups, though it’s outside the village center.

Ambition Suites – Oia

All suites have private outdoor jacuzzis on caldera-view balconies. Small hotel and especially good for couples.

Andronis Arcadia – Oia

All suites and villas feature private heated outdoor infinity pools. Three and Four-Bedroom Villas add outdoor hot tubs, while the six-bedroom Eden Villa adds a second heated private pool. A large resort with much more space than the cliffside hotels and sunset sea views rather than classic caldera views.

Andronis Boutique Hotel – Oia

All suites feature private outdoor jacuzzis. The Executive, Signature, Prestige, and Water Retreat Suites also have private plunge pools. The Cave Pool Suite has a 40-square-meter heated cave pool. There are two shared pools, one heated and one cool.

Andronis Luxury Suites – Oia

All accommodations feature indoor or outdoor private jacuzzis, private outdoor infinity pools, or both. One Honeymoon Suite has an indoor cave plunge pool. There is also a shared heated infinity pool overlooking the caldera. One of Oia’s top splurge hotels.

Anemomilos Hotel – Oia

Superior Studios have indoor or outdoor private jacuzzis. Villas Avra and Armonia have outdoor private jacuzzis with caldera views. Villas Gaia and Hydor share a semi-private jetted pool with caldera views. The main pool has an attached kids pool. One of the better-value choices in Oia.

Armenaki – Oia

All suites have a private heated plunge pool or hot tub on a caldera-view terrace. The Armenaki Residence has an infinity-edge plunge pool. The Cave Suite has a partially covered cave pool plus an indoor hammam. There is also an unheated shared pool.

Aspaki by Art Maisons – Oia

Honeymoon Suites and Exclusive Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. Cave Pool Suites have indoor or outdoor heated cave pools. There is also a small shared outdoor pool. Excellent location beside Oia’s famous blue domes.

Canaves Ena – Oia

The Superior Suite and Honeymoon Suite have private outdoor jetted plunge pools, and the two-bedroom Grand Suite has a private open-air plunge pool. The River Pool Suite has a distinctive indoor/outdoor jetted pool. There is also a shared infinity pool.

Canaves Epitome – Oia

All suites and villas have private heated outdoor plunge pools or swimming pools facing the sunset and sea, not the caldera. One of my favorite choices near Oia for pool privacy and space.

Canaves Oia Suites – Oia

All suites have private outdoor plunge pools, except the Infinity Pool Suite, which has a private infinity pool. The River Pool Suite has an indoor/outdoor jetted pool, and the Executive Suite has a covered cave-style plunge pool. The largest accommodation is the Three-Bedroom Villa with Infinity Pool. There are also two shared pools.

Canaves Sunday – Oia

The Honeymoon Suite has a private outdoor hot tub, while the Master Suite has a large private heated infinity pool. There is also a shared caldera-view infinity pool.

Charisma Suites – Oia

The Charisma Windmill Suite has a private outdoor hot tub. Charisma Pool Suites have heated private plunge pools, the Charisma Cave Pool Suite has a covered heated pool, and Honeymoon Suites have private outdoor hot tubs. There are also two shared infinity pools. Excellent sunset views above Ammoudi.

Domes Novos – Oia

All suites have private heated outdoor pools. The main pool is also heated, with another pool in the spa and a shallow kids pool. More resort than cave hotel, with plenty of space.

Esperas Hotel – Oia

The two-bedroom Cave Suite has a private outdoor hot tub. The two-bedroom Esperas Suite and Superior Suite have private plunge pools. Of the two Honeymoon Suites, one has a hot tub and the other a plunge pool. There is also a shared outdoor pool.

Gabbiano Traditional Cave Houses – Oia

All houses have an outdoor jacuzzi on a private caldera-view balcony. Simple, traditional, and considerably smaller than Oia’s luxury resorts.

Ikies – Oia

All but one suite have private hot tubs on caldera-view terraces. There is also a small shared pool. One of my favorite small hotels in Oia.

Katikies – Pelagos House – Oia

My favorite hotel in Oia. Most rooms and suites have private outdoor hot tubs on caldera-view terraces. The Caldera Edge Suite, Cave Horizon Suite, and Terrace Suite have private outdoor plunge pools. There are three shared infinity pools, one heated and two unheated.

Katikies – Gea House – Oia

Most suites have a private water feature. The Junior Suite with Jetted Tub has an outdoor jacuzzi, the Superior Suite an indoor jacuzzi, and the Honeymoon Suite an outdoor plunge pool. The Open Courtyard Suite has both an outdoor plunge pool and indoor jacuzzi. There is also an outdoor heated infinity pool and an indoor heated spa pool.

Maregio – Oia

Most suites have private heated outdoor jetted plunge pools with sunset views over Ammoudi Bay, not the caldera. The Premium Suite has a cave-style pool. There is also a shared main pool.

Myst – Oia

Supreme, Delight, and Junior Suites have outdoor jacuzzis on private terraces. The Majestic Villa has a private pool, and there is a large shared infinity pool. The setting is outside the caldera village, with countryside and sunset views.

Mystique – Oia

Wet Allure and 2 Senses Suites have private outdoor hot tubs, while Spiritual Suites have indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The Mystery Villa has a private infinity plunge pool, and the Secrecy Villa has an infinity plunge pool and outdoor hot tubs. There are two shared infinity pools. One of Oia’s best luxury hotels.

Oia Castle by Art Maisons – Oia

All accommodations have either a private outdoor hot tub or heated indoor/outdoor cave pool. Guests can also use the outdoor swimming pool at Aspaki next door. Excellent sunset location near Oia Castle.

Oia Spirit Studios – Oia

Most suites have indoor or outdoor plunge pools with blue-dome and caldera views. There is also a shared cave pool with windows facing the domes and caldera.

Old Castle – Oia

All suites except the Junior Suite Sea View have a private water feature with sunset views over Ammoudi Bay, not the caldera. Most have outdoor jetted plunge pools. The Cave Junior Suite has an indoor hot tub, while Master and Infinity Pool Suites have larger pools. There is also a shared pool.

Perivolas – Oia

Deluxe Suites have either a private outdoor hot tub or infinity pool. Perivolas Suites and Villas have private infinity pools. There is also a shared infinity pool. Understated, elegant, and one of Santorini’s original great boutique hotels.

La Perla – Oia

The Senior Suite has a private outdoor plunge pool and the Deluxe Villa a heated private pool. All other suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. Every suite has a caldera view.

Saint Hotel – Oia

All suites have private heated jetted outdoor plunge pools. The Element Suite has a cave-style pool, while the Saint Suite has a glass-front infinity plunge pool. The One Saint Villa has a large heated jetted pool and jacuzzi. The shared main pool and spa pool are also heated.

Santo Pure – Oia

Suites have either a private outdoor hot tub or heated pool. The Royal Suite and all villas have both. The resort has five outdoor pools plus a heated spa pool. Spacious, sunset-facing, and off the caldera cliff.

Santorini Secret – Oia

All suites include either a private hot tub or heated outdoor pool. There is also a shared outdoor infinity pool.

Sophia Oia View – Oia

All rooms and suites have a private plunge pool. Superior Cave Rooms can have indoor pools; the others are open-air, though the Superior Cave Suite pool is partially shaded. Fantastic blue-dome views.

White Pearl Villas – Oia

All villas except one have an indoor or outdoor hot tub, cave pool, plunge pool, or combination of the three. There is also a shared caldera-view pool.

Fira Hotels with Private Pools

Fira is the most practical caldera village, with restaurants, nightlife, shopping, buses, and taxis close by. It is busier than Imerovigli or Firostefani, but much more convenient.

Aria Suites (villas only) – Fira

All villas have an outdoor private plunge pool, and some also have an indoor cave pool. The villas are a one-minute walk from the hotel and work especially well for families and groups.

Aroma Suites – Fira

The Honeymoon Suite and Cave Suite have indoor jacuzzis. A separate private villa for four, about one km away, has an outdoor jacuzzi above the caldera.

Athina Luxury Suites – Fira

My favorite hotel in Fira. The Honeymoon, Royal, and Cave Suites have private outdoor hot tubs. The Grand Cave Suite sleeps four and has two hot tubs, one indoor and one outdoor. There is also a shared swimming pool with swim-up bar.

Enigma Apartments & Suites – Fira

Four Jacuzzi Suites have terraces with built-in jacuzzis. The one and two-bedroom suites sleep two to six people. Excellent central location with caldera views.

Eternity Suites – Fira

All suites have a private jacuzzi. The Honeymoon Cave Suites have private mini pools. Outdoor jacuzzi views are mostly inland or toward the hotel, not the caldera.

Ethos Vegan Suites – Fira

All five suites have seasonal private outdoor hot tubs. The Superior Suite has its hot tub on a rooftop sun deck. Small, vegan hotel in central Fira.

Kamares Apartments – Fira

All apartments except the Standard Room have outdoor hot tubs on private caldera-view terraces. One of my favorite midrange private-hot-tub choices in Fira.

Katikies Garden – Fira

All suites except Junior Suites have outdoor private heated jacuzzis or unheated pools. About half have a caldera view from the jacuzzi or pool. There is also a large shared rooftop pool with caldera views.

Keti Hotel – Fira

The Rock, King, and Pillow View Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. One of the better-value ways to get a private hot tub and caldera view in Fira.

Mythical Blue – Fira

All suites have a private plunge pool or jacuzzi. Deluxe and Junior Suites have outdoor jacuzzis with caldera views. The Senior Suite has an indoor jacuzzi and heated outdoor plunge pool. Honeymoon and Executive Cave Suites have indoor jacuzzis.

Villa Murat – Fira

This four-bedroom/four-bathroom villa has a private heated jetted plunge pool overlooking the caldera and volcanoes. Excellent for a larger family or group wanting a private villa in Fira.

Imerovigli Hotels with Private Pools

Imerovigli is my favorite village for private pools with caldera views. The views are high and spectacular, and it is much quieter than Oia or Fira.

Above Blue – Imerovigli

Most suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. The Lagoon Suite has an indoor jacuzzi, the Golden Echo Suite has both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, and the villa has a private outdoor plunge pool. There is also a shared main pool.

Absolute Bliss – Imerovigli

Some Classic Double Rooms and the Elegant Suite have private outdoor hot tubs. The Honeymoon Suite has indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The Absolute Luxury Spa Villa has a private heated outdoor pool, indoor bathtub, and steam room.

Amber Light – Imerovigli

All suites have either a private outdoor hot tub or pool. Villas have an outdoor pool or indoor hot tub. The setting is east of the village, with open sea views rather than front-row caldera views.

Andronis Concept Wellness Resort – Imerovigli

All suites have private heated infinity pools. Villas have one or two private heated pools, or a heated pool and outdoor jacuzzi. Shared facilities include a lap pool, heated cave pool, and heated caldera-view infinity pool.

Astra Suites – Imerovigli

The Suite with Outdoor Jetted Tub has a jacuzzi on the terrace, while the Superior Jetted Tub Suite has a more sheltered jacuzzi. Pool Suites have private heated swimming pools, and both private villas have swimming pools and outdoor jacuzzis. There is also a heated shared infinity pool. One of my favorite hotels in Santorini.

Atoles Retreat – Imerovigli

Each suite has a private heated outdoor plunge pool on the caldera. The villa has two indoor hot tubs and an outdoor heated infinity pool.

Cavo Tagoo Santorini – Imerovigli

All accommodations have a private indoor or outdoor hot tub, or a private pool. Trendy, glossy, and more scene-y than most Imerovigli hotels.

Cocoon Suites – Imerovigli

All suites have private outdoor hot tubs or heated plunge pools, either open-air or cave-style.

Divine Cave Experience – Imerovigli

All suites have large private hot tubs. Divine and Cosmic hot tubs are open-air, while the others are covered and cave-style. There is also a shared main pool and heated indoor spa pool.

Ethos Vegan Retreat – Imerovigli

All four villas have heated outdoor plunge pools on private patios or rooftops. Views face east toward the sunrise, not the caldera.

Galaxy Suites & Villas – Imerovigli

All suites have a private outdoor jacuzzi or heated plunge pool. Villas have both an indoor jacuzzi and outdoor heated pool. There are also two shared pools with caldera views.

Grace Santorini – Imerovigli

My favorite hotel in Imerovigli for a true luxury splurge. All accommodations, aside from a few Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites, have private outdoor heated plunge pools. The two-bedroom Villa adds a steam room, indoor hot tub, and heated outdoor swimming pool. The hotel’s large infinity pool is one of Santorini’s best.

Iconic Santorini – Imerovigli

The Caldera Suites and Cave Suite have private outdoor jetted plunge pools. The Grotto Suite has an indoor heated cave pool. Iconic and Cliff Suites have indoor and outdoor hot tubs. There is also a shared infinity pool.

Kapari Natural Resort – Imerovigli

Many rooms have private indoor jacuzzis. The Kapari Up & High Suite has a large outdoor jacuzzi, while Honeymoon Suites have indoor jacuzzis plus either a steam room or second outdoor jacuzzi. A few suites share semi-private jacuzzis.

Katikies Chromata – Imerovigli

The Superior Jetted Tub Suite and Honeymoon Suite have hot tubs. The Two-Bedroom Villa, Chromata Pool Suite, and Master Pool Suite have private pools. The Chromata Jetted Tub Suite has indoor and outdoor jacuzzis.

Kivotos – Imerovigli

All rooms, suites, and villas have a private water feature, ranging from outdoor hot tubs and heated plunge pools to cave pools and indoor heated pools. There is also a shared heated glass-front infinity pool.

Remezzo Villas – Imerovigli

The Honeymoon Double is available with a private outdoor hot tub. The Pool Suite has a private heated plunge pool. There is also a shared pool and sun terrace.

Sophia Luxury Suites – Imerovigli

All suites have an indoor or outdoor plunge pool. The Superior Honeymoon Cave Suite and Crypt Exclusive Cave Suite have both a large indoor cave pool and outdoor plunge pool with caldera and sunset views.

The Vasilicos – Imerovigli

Four of the seven suites have heated private outdoor plunge pools with caldera views. The other three share a heated swimming pool and caldera-view sun terrace. One of Imerovigli’s best small hotels.

Vora – Imerovigli

All three villas have private outdoor hot tubs perched on the caldera. Tiny hotel, excellent privacy, and spectacular views.

West East Suites – Imerovigli

All suites have a private pool or hot tub. The Infinity Pool Suite has an indoor hot tub and large outdoor infinity pool. Some room categories use a swim-out-style layout, so check the photos if complete separation matters.

White Hotel – Imerovigli

Superior Suites have heated jacuzzis or plunge pools on shared terraces. Deluxe Suites have heated jacuzzis on private but visible terraces. The Cream Suite has a private heated pool, while the Pearl Honeymoon and White Suites have private heated jacuzzis. There are also shared outdoor and indoor pools.

Windmill Villas – Imerovigli

All three two-bedroom/two-bathroom villas have private pools. Much more space and privacy than a typical cliffside suite.

Between Oia and Imerovigli: Hotels with Private Pools

This isolated stretch of the caldera is excellent for privacy and views. You’ll need a rental car, taxi, or hotel transfer for most meals and sightseeing.

Aenaon Villas – between Oia and Imerovigli

Villa Elidami has a private plunge pool. There is also a shared infinity pool. One of Santorini’s best hotels for privacy and wide-open views.

San Antonio Hotel – between Oia and Imerovigli

The San Antonio Suite Caldera View has an indoor hot tub. Superior Sea View, Master Sea View, and Honeymoon Suites have private outdoor hot tubs. There is also a shared infinity pool. Romantic and secluded, but not convenient without transfers or a car.

Firostefani Hotels with Private Pools

Firostefani has excellent caldera views and is an easy walk from Fira. Most private pools here are small plunge pools or hot tubs.

Anteliz Suites – Firostefani

My favorite private-pool hotel in Firostefani. The Infinity Pool Suite and Pool Suite have private pools with caldera views. The Anteliz Private Villa has a more secluded private pool. There is also a shared swimming pool and hot tub.

Dana Villas & Infinity Suites – Firostefani

Junior Pool Suites, Cave Pool Suites, and Superior Pool Suites have private heated outdoor pools, including cave, river, and open-air designs. Many top suites and villas add indoor cave-style jacuzzis. The Infinity Pool Villa has two outdoor heated private pools and two indoor cave jacuzzis. Room categories vary enormously here.

Mill Houses Elegant Suites – Firostefani

Many suites and some studios have private outdoor hot tubs with caldera views. Usually better value than Firostefani’s top luxury hotels.

Sun Rocks – Firostefani

The Honeymoon Suite and Exclusive Cave Suite have indoor jacuzzis. The Sun Rocks Suite has a private partially covered cave pool with caldera views. There is also a shared pool beside the restaurant.

Pyrgos Hotels with Private Pools

Pyrgos has more space and privacy than the caldera villages and works best with a rental car. Views are panoramic across the island and sea rather than straight into the caldera.

Art Hotel Santorini – Pyrgos

The Heated Jacuzzi Suite has an outdoor jacuzzi, while Superior and Deluxe Pool Suites have private heated plunge pools. Usually better value than comparable caldera hotels.

Carpe Diem – Pyrgos

Most suites have private plunge pools, some heated and some not. The Junior Suite has an outdoor jetted tub. Excellent privacy and panoramic island views.

North Luxury Villas – Pyrgos

Two serviced Three-Bedroom Villas and one suite have heated private pools. Plenty of space for families and groups.

Santorini Heights – Pyrgos

All units have private swimming or plunge pools. One of the island’s best secluded private-pool stays.

Santorini Sky – Pyrgos

My favorite hotel in Pyrgos. All villas and the suite have a private water feature. Depending on the accommodation, that can mean an outdoor hot tub, heated plunge pool, heated infinity pool, or both hot tub and infinity pool. Privacy is excellent.

Skyfall Suites – Pyrgos

All suites have a private outdoor hot tub or heated plunge pool.

Voreina Gallery Suites – Pyrgos

All suites have an indoor or outdoor hot tub, or a private pool.

Megalochori Hotels with Private Pools

Megalochori is quiet, traditional, and surrounded by vineyards. It’s a good base for villas and larger pools, but much less convenient than Fira or Oia without a car.

Alti Santorini Suites – Megalochori

All suites have private heated plunge pools, and some add outdoor hot tubs. Excellent caldera views away from the main cliff villages.

Nafsika Estate – Megalochori

Amazing five-bedroom villa with a private outdoor jacuzzi, swimming pool, and caldera view. Excellent for groups and families who want a real swimming pool.

Santorini Heritage Villas – Megalochori

Two and three-bedroom villas have private swimming pools. Lots of space in a traditional village setting.

Vedema Resort – Megalochori

Some of Vedema’s higher room categories have private pools or hot tubs. There are also shared outdoor pools and a spa. The best full-service resort in Megalochori.

White Harmony Suites – Megalochori

Jacuzzi Suites sleep up to five and have private outdoor jacuzzis. Pool Suites sleep up to three and have private outdoor pools.

Akrotiri Hotels with Private Pools

Akrotiri has some of Santorini’s best private-pool hotels for space, quiet, and fewer crowds. Several have excellent caldera views, though from a very different angle than Oia or Imerovigli. A rental car is strongly recommended.

Astarte Suites – Akrotiri

All suites have private jacuzzis, some indoor and some outdoor. The Astarte Suite adds a private outdoor infinity pool, while the Cave Pool Suite adds an outdoor cave-style pool. My favorite romantic private-pool hotel in Akrotiri.

Black Diamond Suites – Akrotiri

All suites have heated outdoor plunge pools or hot tubs with caldera views. One of the better-value private-pool hotels in Akrotiri.

Cape 9 – Akrotiri

All suites and villas have private plunge pools. Spacious and quiet, with more room around the pools than most cliffside hotels.

Coco-Mat Hotel – Akrotiri

Many room categories have private outdoor jacuzzis or plunge pools. There is also a shared infinity pool near the restaurant. Quiet, stylish, and far removed from Oia’s crowds.

Kalestesia Suites – Akrotiri

Most suites have private outdoor hot tubs. The Family Maisonette has an outdoor heated plunge pool. There is also a large shared swimming pool with a kids splash area.

Maison des Lys – Akrotiri

Junior, Senior, and Superior Suites have private infinity pools. Excellent views but a remote location. Best with a car.

Santorini Princess Presidential Suites – Akrotiri

All four Three-Bedroom Villas have private outdoor hot tubs and swimming pools with caldera views. One of my favorite choices for families and groups who want a real pool, privacy, and a caldera view.

Beach Hotels with Private Pools

Beach hotels generally have more space and larger pools than the caldera hotels. They’re especially good for families, but you give up the famous cliff views.

La Bellezza Eco Boutique – Kamari

All suites have private outdoor hot tubs. Apartments have private pools with hydrotherapy jets. Good value in Kamari.

Istoria Hotel – Perivolos

My favorite beachfront hotel in Santorini. Four suites have private heated pools or hot tubs. There is a large shared pool with attached jacuzzi and a serviced beach area across the road.

Orabel Suites Santorini – Perivolos

All suites have indoor or private outdoor hot tubs. There is a shared pool, and the beach is about a three-minute walk away.

Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort – Kamari

Premium Rooms and some Presidential Suites have private outdoor hot tubs or plunge pools. Some Junior Suites and Villas have private outdoor plunge pools. There are two large main pools and a private beach area a short walk away. My favorite full-service luxury resort in Kamari.

Sea Breeze Beach Resort – Exomitis

All rooms and suites have private outdoor hot tubs or heated jetted swimming pools. There are also two adult pools, two kids pools, and a private serviced beach area. Excellent for families.

Tamarix del Mar – Kamari

The Luxury Apartment, Superior One-Bedroom Suite, and some Junior Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. Shared facilities include an outdoor pool with kids pool and jacuzzi, plus another pool and jacuzzi in the spa.

Santorini Hotels with Private Pools in Other Villages

These are mostly villa, resort, and inland stays. A car is useful for most.

Celestia Grand – Mesaria

The Junior Villa has a private plunge pool, while the other villas have larger private pools. Artemis and Sapphire Villas also have private hot tubs. Excellent for families and groups.

Danae Suites – Finikia

Superior Suites and some Deluxe Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis, while the villas have private outdoor pools. Good value near Oia, but not a caldera-cliff stay.

Elysian – Finikia

Most villas have private outdoor plunge pools or swimming pools on terraces or rooftops. Deluxe Cave Villas have indoor heated cave pools. There is also a large shared infinity pool with distant sunset and sea views.

Maeva Suites – Episkopi Gonias

Three suite categories have private outdoor jacuzzis with east-facing sea views. Quiet inland location, not a caldera stay.

Magma Resort – Vourvoulos

Most rooms and suites have private outdoor hot tubs or heated plunge pools. There is a large outdoor main pool and a heated indoor spa pool. Full resort setting on the east side of the island, without caldera views.

Nous – Mesaria

Bungalows have private outdoor jacuzzis, while Pool Bungalows, Suites, and Deluxe Suites have private heated swimming pools. There is also a huge heated main pool, plus an indoor/outdoor spa pool and cold plunge. One of Santorini’s best resort-pool setups, but this is an inland stay, not the caldera.

Sophia Boutique Hotel – Finikia

All rooms have private heated outdoor plunge pools on terraces or rooftops. A few pools are a short walk from the room rather than directly attached. Good value near Oia, but not a caldera-cliff hotel.

Final Advice

Before booking, confirm five things: Is the pool heated? Is it a plunge pool or a full swimming pool? Can other guests or people on the public path see it? Does your exact room have the view shown in the photos? How many steps are there between reception and your room?

Those answers matter much more than the words “private pool” on a booking page.
