  • Best private pools near Mykonos Town: Deos Mykonos – quiet luxury above Chora, with sea-view pools and easy access to town without sleeping inside the old town maze.
  • Best for couples: Bill & Coo Suites – romantic, polished, excellent food, sunset views, and some of the best private-pool suites near Megali Ammos.
  • Best for families: Santa Marina – the best full resort in Mykonos, with villas, private pools, family facilities, and a private sandy beach near Ornos.

Mykonos Private Pool Hotels: What to Know Before Booking

Booking a hotel with a private pool in Mykonos sounds easy, but the details matter. A “private pool” might mean a small plunge pool, a jetted hot tub, a cave-style pool, a semi-private sharing pool, or a proper infinity pool with sea views. It also does not always mean full privacy. In Mykonos, “private” usually means the pool is for your use only, not that nobody can see you.

I tell people to check four things before booking: pool type, heating, privacy, and location. It also helps to understand the best places to stay in Mykonos, because a private-pool suite near Mykonos Town feels very different from one above Elia, Ornos, Psarou, Agios Ioannis, or Kalafatis.

  • Pool type: Read the room description carefully. “Private pool,” “plunge pool,” “outdoor jacuzzi,” “hot tub,” and “sharing pool” are not the same thing. Hotels sometimes use the language loosely, and room categories can vary a lot within the same property.
  • Heating: Many private pools in Mykonos are not heated. If you are visiting in May, early June, late September, or October and actually plan to use the pool, confirm heating in writing. Jacuzzis and small plunge pools are more likely to be heated than larger infinity pools, but never assume.
  • Privacy: Private does not mean secluded. Many private pools are visible from neighboring terraces, upper walkways, restaurants, or pool decks. For the best privacy, look at top suites and villas rather than entry-level private-pool rooms.
  • Location: A private pool near Mykonos Town is best for restaurants, nightlife, and sunset drinks. A beach-area private pool is better for swimming and resort days. Elia, Kalafatis, Kalo Livadi, Aleomandra, Panormos, and Agios Sostis can be more private, but you will need more planning for dinners and transfers.

The biggest mistake: Booking the prettiest pool photo without understanding the location. Some of the best private-pool hotels are not walkable to much. That can be perfect if you want privacy, but frustrating if you expect easy nights out in Mykonos Town.

Quick Area Guide: Where to Book a Private Pool in Mykonos

  • Mykonos Town and nearby hills: Best for nightlife, restaurants, shopping, sunset views, and short stays. Pools are often on terraces with views, but privacy can vary.
  • Megali Ammos: Best for couples who want sea views and a walkable route to Mykonos Town. The beach is close, but it can be windy.
  • Ornos: Best for families, easy beach days, and resort convenience. Private pools here are great if you want beach access plus calm water nearby.
  • Platis Gialos and Psarou: Best for beach hotels, beach clubs, water taxis, and polished Mykonos luxury. Expect high prices in peak season.
  • Agios Ioannis: Best for couples, sunsets, quieter beach stays, and views toward Delos.
  • Agios Stefanos and Tourlos: Best for ferry-port convenience, sunset views, and easier access to the New Port. Not the most romantic beach setting, but very practical.
  • Elia: Best for larger resorts, villa-style stays, sea views, and a quieter beach scene. Better with a car or hotel transfers.
  • Kalafatis, Kalo Livadi, Aleomandra, Panormos, and Agios Sostis: Best for privacy, villas, space, and a less central stay. Choose these only if you are happy being away from Town.

1. Private-Pool Hotels Near Mykonos Town

This is the best area if you want sunset views, restaurants, bars, shopping, and easy access to the old town. The tradeoff is that true privacy can be harder to find than in the villa-style hotels farther from town.

Cavo Tagoo – Mykonos Town

A private pool shaped a little like a heart overlooking the sea at Cavo Tagoo in Mykonos Town.
Cavo Tagoo is the most famous private-pool hotel in Mykonos, and for many travelers it is the dream version of the island: sunset views, whitewashed design, a glamorous pool scene, and suites built dramatically into the hillside above the sea. It is close to Mykonos Town but not inside the old town, so you get easier access without sleeping in the pedestrian maze.

Most rooms, suites, and villas have an outdoor jacuzzi or pool. One of the Two-Bedroom Suites and the Orlinski Villa have cave pools. The Three-Bedroom Platinum Villa has the heart-shaped pool shown above. The hotel also has a large shared infinity pool near the lounge.

Best for: couples, luxury travelers, sunset views, nightlife, and a scene hotel.

Watch out for: privacy varies. The cave-style pools are spectacular, but some are more visible than travelers expect.

Deos – Mykonos Town

An L-shaped infinity pool overlooking the sea at Deos hotel in Mykonos Town.
Deos is one of the best choices if you want private-pool luxury near Mykonos Town without the louder, showier feel of Cavo Tagoo. It sits above Chora with huge sea views, strong design, and easier access to town than most remote luxury hotels.

All rooms, suites, and residences have either an outdoor jacuzzi or an outdoor heated pool on a private terrace with sea views. There is also a large heated infinity pool with sea views and an indoor heated saltwater pool in the spa for all guests.

Best for: couples, first-timers, stylish luxury, views, and easy access to Mykonos Town.

Watch out for: it is above town, not in the middle of the old town. Walking back uphill may not suit everyone.

Lovia – Mykonos Town

A kidney-shaped infinity pool on a sea-view terrace at Lovia hotel in Mykonos Town.
Lovia is a polished luxury option above Mykonos Town, with big views and a quieter mood than the old town hotels. It works best for couples who want a private terrace, sea view, and easy evening access to Chora.

All rooms and suites offer outdoor jacuzzis or heated pools on private terraces. Pools are heated to about 26°C. All guests have access to two outdoor pools and one indoor heated spa pool.

Best for: couples, views, modern design, and a quiet base near town.

Watch out for: the hillside setting means the walk is not flat.

My Mykonos – Near Mykonos Town

A row of infinity pools with low, concrete dividers, all facing at garden at My Mykonos Hotel near Mykonos Town.
My Mykonos is a more affordable private-pool option near town, with a stylish but less ultra-luxury feel than Deos, Cavo Tagoo, or Lovia. It is a good fit if you want a private pool and town access without paying top-tier Mykonos prices.

Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, and One and Two-Bedroom Suites have private pools. All guests can use the freeform main pool.

Best for: value, couples, and travelers who want a private-pool room near town.

Watch out for: some terraces are closer together than they look in photos.

Ostraco Suites – Mykonos Town

A jacuzzi on a patio with a concrete privacy wall on one side and a row of bamboo on the other at Ostraco Suites in Mykonos Town.
Ostraco Suites is a relaxed boutique hotel just outside Mykonos Town. It is not as flashy as the big luxury names, but it has charm, good service, and some good private jacuzzi and pool options.

Deluxe Sea View Rooms, Suite Sea View, and the Two-Bedroom Sea View Suite have private outdoor jacuzzis. The Honeymoon Suite Sea View has a heated private infinity pool. The main pool is also heated and open to all guests.

Best for: couples, boutique style, and a quieter stay near town.

Watch out for: not every room has a private pool or jacuzzi.

Semeli Hotel – Mykonos Town

Mykonos Town hotel with private Jacuzzi.
Semeli is one of the best hotels inside of Mykonos Town. It is ideal if you want restaurants, shops, bars, and nightlife close by, but still want a hotel with pools and a resort feel.

Superior Spa Rooms, Garden Suites, Luxury Junior Suites, and the Executive Suite Sea View have outdoor jacuzzis. The Semeli Suite has two outdoor jacuzzis. The Executive Pool View Suite and the Two-Bedroom Spa Room have indoor jacuzzis. Facilities for all guests include two outdoor pools, one heated and one cool, plus one jacuzzi.

Best for: nightlife, shopping, restaurants, and travelers who want to walk around Mykonos Town.

Watch out for: most private water features are jacuzzis, not true private pools.

Myconian Korali – Near Mykonos Town

Hotel near Mykonos Town with private pool and view.
Myconian Korali is a high-end Relais & Châteaux hotel on the hill above Mykonos Town. It has superb views and excellent service, but the walk back from town is steep. Book it for the terrace and view, not for flat walkability.

Many of the best suites have private pools or outdoor jacuzzis. The pools are generally for lounging, cooling off, and enjoying the view, not serious swimming.

Best for: couples, views, polished service, and town access with a quieter hilltop feel.

Watch out for: the return walk from town is steep.

Mykonos Riviera – Tourlos, Near Mykonos Town

Hotel near Mykonos ferry port with private pool.
Mykonos Riviera is an ultra-modern 5-star hotel above the New Port at Tourlos. It is not in Mykonos Town, but it works very well for ferry convenience, sea views, polished service, and short stays.

The hotel has a wide range of rooms, suites, maisonettes, and retreats with private pools, outdoor jacuzzis, or sharing pools. The top villa has multiple infinity pools that can be heated on request. All guests can use the main heated infinity pool and the indoor thalassotherapy pool in the spa.

Best for: ferry transfers, short stays, sea views, spa, and travelers who want comfort near the New Port.

Watch out for: the port location is practical rather than romantic. Use the SeaBus or transfers for Mykonos Town.

Belvedere Hotel – Mykonos Town

Belvedere is a chic 5-star hotel in Mykonos Town, best for travelers who want to be close to the action but still have a polished hotel base. It is one of the better town hotels if restaurants, bars, and nightlife matter more than beach access.

Most rooms are standard, but the top-tier suites and the separate Belvedere Villa offer private pools. This is a good way to have a private oasis in the middle of town.

Best for: nightlife, dining, style, and travelers who want to walk out at night.

Watch out for: private-pool options are limited to top categories.

2. Megali Ammos Beach Hotels with Private Pools

Megali Ammos is the closest real beach to Mykonos Town. It is good for couples who want sea views and a walkable route to Chora, but the beach can be windy and the road walk into town is not ideal at night.

Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge – Megali Ammos

An infinity pool with a sea view behind a few palm trees with a terrace and sunbed set at Bill and Coo Lounge and Suites in Meglai Ammos, Mykonos.
Bill & Coo is one of the best couples hotels in Mykonos: romantic, polished, quiet, and known for excellent food and service. It sits near Megali Ammos, close enough to reach Mykonos Town, but far enough from the loudest lanes.

Honeymoon Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis, while Deluxe Suites, Bill & Coo Villas, and the Bill & Coo Suite have private infinity pools. There is also a shared main pool next to the restaurant and bar.

Best for: couples, honeymoons, sunset views, food, and a refined stay near town.

Watch out for: not all suites have private pools. Some have jacuzzis instead.

Boheme – Megali Ammos

An outdoor jacuzzi under a pergola with sea views at Boheme hotel in Megali Ammos, Mykonos.
Boheme is a stylish, adults-oriented boutique hotel above Megali Ammos. It has a relaxed, romantic feel and works well for couples who want sea views and access to town without being in the middle of Chora.

Most suites offer a private outdoor jacuzzi or plunge pool. Honeymoon Suites and the Grand Bohemian Suite have outdoor jacuzzis. Bohemian Suites give the option of choosing either an outdoor jacuzzi or a private plunge pool. There is also a central pool with poolside service.

Best for: couples, boutique style, sea views, and quieter stays near town.

Watch out for: pool and jacuzzi features vary by exact suite.

Bonzoe Suites & Villas – Megali Ammos

An infinity pool facing the hotel gardens and sea with a sunken sitting area on the terrace behind at Bonzoe Suites and Villas in Megali Ammos, Mykonos.
Bonzoe is a strong choice for travelers who want villa-style space near Mykonos Town. It feels more residential and private than a classic hotel, but still keeps you close to restaurants and nightlife.

All accommodations have a private outdoor water feature. All villas and one suite have private heated infinity pools on sea-view terraces; some villas have two pools. One suite has an outdoor jacuzzi.

Best for: families, couples, groups, longer stays, and travelers who want more space near town.

Watch out for: it is not a beachfront hotel.

Myconian Korali – Megali Ammos

An infinity pool with a sea view in front of a yellow sunbed and umbrella set at Myconian Korali above Megali Ammos Beach in Mykonos.
Myconian Korali is one of the better luxury options above Megali Ammos, with sea views, good service, and access to Mykonos Town by walk or short ride.

Phos Superior Rooms, Kynthos Junior Suites, Emar Junior Suites, and Armonia Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis. Aeon Superior Rooms and Era Junior Suites have private pools. Delos Junior Suites, Delos Premium Junior Suites, Cyclades Suites, and Ortigia Suites have both jacuzzis and private pools. Oria Superior Rooms offer sharing pools, which are semi-private pools shared with neighboring rooms of the same type. There is also a sea-view saltwater pool for all guests.

Best for: couples, views, stylish rooms, and luxury near town.

Watch out for: room category names matter here. Check exactly what you are booking.

Myconian Kyma – Megali Ammos

A private infinity pool with sea and town views at Myconian Kyma in Megali Ammos, Mykonos.
Myconian Kyma is a sleek, upscale hotel above Megali Ammos, good for views, design, and access to Mykonos Town without being in the densest part of Chora.

About half of all room and suite types offer a private outdoor jacuzzi, pool, or both. Aegean Rooms, Paragon Suites, and Sunset Suites have private outdoor jacuzzis, while Horizon Superior Rooms have private pools. Mediterranean Suites have both outdoor private jacuzzis and pools with sea views. Guests also share access to two main pools set in tiers in the middle of the property.

Best for: design, views, couples, and easy access to town.

Watch out for: some categories have jacuzzis rather than pools.

Myconian Naia – Megali Ammos

A private pool above a path inside the hotel at Myconian Naia in Megali Ammos, Mykonos.
Myconian Naia is a small, adults-only, high-end suite hotel above Megali Ammos, best for couples who want privacy, sea views, and a quieter luxury stay near town.

Naia Suites can have private pools, outdoor hot tubs, or neither, but they all have sea views. There is also a rectangular infinity pool with sea views open to all guests.

Best for: couples, quiet luxury, sea views, and a smaller hotel feel.

Watch out for: not every suite has a private pool or hot tub.

3. Ornos Beach Hotels with Private Pools

Ornos is the best beach area for families and one of the safest private-pool choices for first-timers. You get a protected bay, restaurants, buses to Mykonos Town, and seasonal water taxi access to the south-coast beaches.

Santa Marina – Ornos

A kid-friendly private pool in Mykonos.
Santa Marina is the most complete resort in Mykonos and the best choice for families who want private-pool luxury without giving up beach access. It has its own private sandy beach, a full resort setup, a spa, restaurants, and villas.

All 12 villas have either a private pool or an outdoor jacuzzi, but lower tier rooms do not. The Mykonian Cottage has a private outdoor jacuzzi, while the Luxury Seaview Suite and Two Bedroom Luxury Seaview Suite have private outdoor pools. Adults have access to a saltwater pool, while the main pool and attached jacuzzi are open to families with children.

Best for: families, resort stays, beach access, villas, and travelers who want the easiest luxury setup.

Watch out for: it is expensive, and the top villa categories are the ones with the best privacy.

Adorno Beach Hotel – Ornos

Three infinity pools behind a privacy fence of bamboo and plants with the sea in the background at Adorno Beach Hotel in Ornos, Mykonos.
Adorno is a practical, stylish beach hotel in Ornos, good for travelers who want sand, restaurants, and buses close by without going full luxury resort.

Design Maisonettes have private outdoor jacuzzis. Honeymoon Suites and Premium Maisonettes have private pools. There is also a shared main pool and direct beach access.

Best for: couples, beach access, Ornos convenience, and a smaller hotel feel.

Watch out for: some private-pool terraces are close together.

Kove – Ornos

A jacuzzi on a private patio at Kensho boutique hotel in Ornos, Mykonos.
Kove, formerly Kensho Ornos, is a stylish boutique hotel just above Ornos. It is a good fit for couples who want polished design, a short walk to the beach, and private plunge pool or hot tub options.

Most rooms and suites feature a private outdoor hot tub or plunge pool. Junior Suites and Design Suites offer outdoor hot tubs. VIP Junior Suites have private pools. Deluxe Rooms have the option to choose a hot tub or plunge pool. There are also two shared pools and a large rooftop jacuzzi for guests.

Best for: couples, boutique style, Ornos access, and private plunge pools.

Watch out for: the hotel is slightly uphill from the beach, and exact pool type depends on category.

Kivotos – Ornos

A freeform pool with two sunbeds partially submerged and a white terrace all around at Kivotos resort in Ornos Bay in Mykonos.
Kivotos is an established luxury hotel in Ornos with an art-filled, boutique-resort feel. It works for couples and families who want Ornos convenience but a more individual hotel than the big resort brands.

Many suites and all villas offer private pools in a variety of styles. Above is the Two Bedroom Suite with Pool. The Signature Suite 130 has a glass infinity pool. The Mykonos Honeymoon Luxury Suite is the only one with an outdoor jacuzzi. Guests can also use the hotel’s two infinity pools, one saltwater and one freshwater, with attached jacuzzis.

Best for: Ornos luxury, couples, families, and travelers who want a hotel with personality.

Watch out for: the style is more eclectic than minimalist.

Myconian O – Ornos

A seating area behind a swimming pool with boho woven basket lamps and bamboo privacy fencing at Myconian O resort on Ornos Beach, Mykonos.
Myconian O is one of the strongest Ornos choices if you want beach access, modern design, and private-pool room categories in a polished resort setting.

Watch out for: book a ground-floor pool category if the private pool is essential.

Mykonos Blanc – Ornos

Two room types, the Honeymoon Sea View Rooms and Jacuzzi Sea View Suites, come with private outdoor jacuzzis. There is also a shared pool on the beach and direct beach access.

Best for: couples, beach access, Platis Gialos energy, and stylish stays.

Watch out for: private jacuzzis, not private pools.

Nissaki Boutique Hotel – Platis Gialos

A jacuzzi on a balcony overlooking the sea studded with yachts at Nissaki Boutique Hotel in Platis Gialos, Mykonos.
Nissaki has one of the best positions between Platis Gialos and Psarou. It is close to two of the island’s most popular beaches, while still feeling like a proper boutique hotel.

Most suites have the option of booking with or without an outdoor jacuzzi or private pool. Myconian Grand Suites have direct access to a semi-private pool shared by a couple of other suites in the same category. There are three more pools for all guests to use: the main pool, a jacuzzi pool, and a freeform pool.

Best for: couples, beach access, Platis Gialos, Psarou, and sea views.

Watch out for: “sharing pool” categories are not private pools.

Palladium Hotel – Near Platis Gialos and Psarou

Palladium is one of the best-value luxury-ish hotels in Mykonos. It is not directly on the sand, but it is close to Platis Gialos and Psarou, and the service is consistently warm and personal.

The hotel has two main pools and several renovated suites with private pools. It is a good option when you want the private-pool experience near great beaches without paying beachfront prices.

Best for: value, service, couples, families, and access to both Platis Gialos and Psarou.

Watch out for: not a beachfront hotel.

5. Agios Ioannis Beach Hotels with Private Pools

Mykonos Blu – Psarou

A private infinity pool in a garden overlooking the sea with a pair of rattan chairs on the terrace at Mykonos Blu on Psarou Beach.
Mykonos Blu is my favorite hotel in Mykonos and one of the best private-pool beach hotels in Greece. It sits above Psarou, has direct beach access, and offers a huge range of room and villa categories.

Most room types include a private jacuzzi, pool, or sharing pool. The Deep Blu Villa and the Royal Blu Mansion have both outdoor jacuzzis and pools. The Luna Blu Suite has a heated indoor pool. At the heart of the resort, there is a large split-level saltwater pool and kids pool, plus direct beach access.

Best for: luxury, Psarou Beach, families, couples, beach access, and private-pool bungalows.

Watch out for: Psarou is expensive and scene-y. It is not a value beach.

Watch out for: you will want a car, driver, or pre-booked transfers.

Colours of Mykonos – Agios Lazaros, Near Psarou

Colours of Mykonos is a smaller, more residential option in Agios Lazaros, good for travelers who want private outdoor space near Psarou without booking a full luxury resort.

All suites and the Colours Residence come with private outdoor jacuzzis. Guests also share a larger outdoor pool.

Best for: couples, small families, value compared with Psarou luxury hotels, and travelers with a car.

Watch out for: private jacuzzis, not private pools.

8. Paradise and Super Paradise Hotels with Private Pools

Paradise and Super Paradise are for party-focused travelers. The beaches are beautiful, but the main reason to stay here is beach clubs, DJs, music, and not needing to commute after a long day or night out. Do not book these areas for quiet romance or family convenience.

Tropicana Hotel – Paradise Beach

A private infinity pool next to a wicker, egg-shaped lounger on a terrace above the sea at Tropicana Hotel on Paradise Beach in Mykonos.
Tropicana is the obvious hotel if you want the Paradise Beach party scene. It is more polished than many people expect, with good sea views and lots of pool categories, but the point of staying here is still nightlife and beach-club energy.

About half of all accommodations include a private outdoor jacuzzi or pool on sea-view terraces. There are also four pools, two infinity pools and two sea-view pools with bars, available to all guests.

Best for: party trips, Paradise Beach, groups, and travelers who want the scene at the door.

11. Other Private-Pool Hotels in Mykonos

These are the best private-pool hotels in quieter or more remote parts of Mykonos. They can be excellent, but they are not the right choice if you want to walk to dinner in Mykonos Town every night.

Cali – Kalafatis Beach

A split-level infinity pool with a row of sunbeds facing the sea at Cali resort in Kalafatis, Mykonos.
Cali Mykonos is one of the best secluded luxury hotels on the island. It sits near Kalafatis, far from the main party beaches, with a private cove, large suites and villas, and a huge main pool. This is where I would look if privacy and space matter more than nightlife.

Most suites and all villas have private outdoor saltwater plunge pools or infinity pools heated to your chosen temperature. The Three-Bedroom Villa Calliope has two pools, while the Four-Bedroom Villa Calliope has three pools. The shared main pool is a 130-meter saltwater infinity pool. A smaller heated pool is in the spa.

Best for: privacy, couples, luxury, villas, wellness, and travelers who want to be away from the crowds.

Watch out for: Kalafatis is remote. Use hotel transfers or rent a car.

The Genesis Villa has an infinity pool with an attached jacuzzi. There is an indoor pool in the spa, and the property has direct access to a secluded beach.

Watch out for: north-coast wind and limited transport.

Semeli Coast Mykonos – Merchia Beach

Secluded hotel in Mykonos with private pool.
Semeli Coast is a quiet luxury resort on remote Merchia Beach, on the northeast coast of Mykonos. This is a very different stay from Mykonos Town, Ornos, or Platis Gialos: more secluded, more private, and better for travelers who want sea views, space, and a retreat-style hotel rather than nightlife or easy walking.

Several suites have private outdoor spa pools or swimming pools. The resort also has shared indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant, fitness center, and beach access.

Best for: couples, quiet luxury, remote beach stays, private terraces, and travelers who want to be away from the Mykonos crowds.

Mykonos Private Pool Hotel FAQs

Are private pools in Mykonos actually private?

Usually they are private for your use, but not always private from view. Many terraces can be seen from neighboring rooms, hotel paths, restaurants, or higher terraces. For the most privacy, book a villa, top suite, or a hotel with more space between units, such as Cali Mykonos, Kalesma, Panoptis Escape, or the villas at Santa Marina.

Are private pools in Mykonos heated?

Some are, many are not. Heating is most important in May, early June, late September, and October. Always confirm in writing if a heated pool matters to you. Do not assume “private pool” means heated pool.

Is a private pool worth it in Mykonos?

Yes, if you will use it. Mykonos beaches can be crowded and expensive, and a private pool gives you a quiet place to relax before or after beach time. It is especially worth it for couples, honeymoons, families with younger kids, and travelers staying away from the main beaches.

Should I book a private pool or a beach hotel?

For many travelers, the best choice is both. Hotels like Santa Marina, Mykonos Blu, Petasos Beach Resort, and Mykonos Grand give you a strong beach setting plus private-pool or private-jacuzzi categories. If you are staying near Mykonos Town, the private pool often replaces easy beach access.

Where should I stay for a private pool and nightlife?

Stay near Mykonos Town. Cavo Tagoo, Deos, Bill & Coo, Lovia, and Semeli are good choices depending on how close you want to be to the action.

Where should I stay for a private pool and beach access?

Look at Ornos, Platis Gialos, Psarou, and Agios Ioannis. My top picks are Santa Marina, Mykonos Blu, Petasos Beach Resort, Mykonos Grand, and Mykonos Blanc.

When should I book a Mykonos private-pool hotel?

For June through September, book 4 to 8 months ahead. For July and August, book as soon as your dates are firm, especially for private-pool villas, family suites, and the best sea-view categories. The best rooms disappear early because each hotel has only a limited number of true private-pool rooms.
