The excellent and affordable Gardette Park is in Paris’ 11th arrondissement.
Gardette Park in the 11th arrondissement of Paris is a good family-friendly and affordable place to stay in Paris. Many rooms at Gardette Park have views out over leafy and charming Maurice Gardette Square directly opposite, which features a jogging path and kids’ playground. Some rooms have balconies, all are colorful, comfortable, air-conditioned, and nicely-furnished. Location is excellent, central and close to transport but with a tranquil park-like feel.

- Taxi: Airport taxis to central Paris are charged at a flat rate. Fare from Charles de Gaulle Airport is €55RB, fare from Orly Airport is €35.
- Private Transfer: We use and recommend Welcome Pickups car service. Booking through a private car service will cost only a bit more than a taxi – about €61 from CDG and €57 from Orly, but can be worth it to avoid the long taxi queue and for the convenience of paying ahead.
Gardette Park – The Basics
- Ages: All ages are welcome. The park across the street has a nice children’s playground, and Junior Suites sleep four. Cribs are available for no cost, on request. Extra beds can be added (space permitting) for €30 per child, per night. Babysitting services are available on request, for an extra fee.
- Pet Policy: Pet-friendly.
- View: Many guest rooms (some with balconies) overlook green and tranquil Maurice Gardette Square.
- Parking: No parking available. Public parking is available nearby.
- When to Book: Book a couple of months in advance, especially during the high travel seasons of spring, summer, early fall, and late December.

Gardette Park – What’s Nearby?
- Les Nicois – Trendy bar/restaurant just down the street from the Gardette Park. Very fun vibe.
- Le Comptoir Parmentier – Delicious local bistro.
- Les Cents Kilos – Neighborhood brasserie with good breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- La Comete – The best restaurant in the area. Delicious french food.
- Hotel Fabric – Excellent boutique hotel close to the Gardette Park. (A little trendier and slightly more expensive.)

Gardette Park Hotel in the 11th Arrondissement
Gardette Park hotel is located in a wonderful neighborhood with many local restaurants and directly across the street from a nice park with a walking/jogging path and a kid’s playground.

A very nice children’s playground and park with jogging/walking path is across the street.
A bus stop is just a 2 minute walk from the Gardette Park with a stop for Bus 69 which takes a scenic route pass the Louvre all the way to the Eiffel Tower.
Les Nicois is just down the street from the Gardette Park Hotel and has a wonderful lively vibe.
Les Cent Kilos is a good neighborhood restaurant with good breakfasts (and other meals) a short walk from the Gardette Park.
The hotel often recommends Le Comptoir Parmentier – a 3 minute walk away – which has great food and a friendly atmosphere.
La Comete is an 8 minute walk from the hotel and has incredible food. Definitely worth seeking out.
The Gardette Park is located on a quiet street across from the Gardette Park.
Hotel Fabric, in the trendy Oberkampf area, is a little nicer (and a little pricier) just a few blocks from the Gardette Park .
There are other good hotels in the general neighborhood. Hotel Beaumarchais is inexpensive boutique hotel closer to the Marais district.
Acacia Hotel is a similar hotel just a block away from the Gardette Park (but on a slightly busier street that isn’t as pleasant as the Gardette’s setting).
Directly beside the Gardette Park is the Hotel Rhetia – a very cheap hotel that I don’t particularly recommend but it’s far from terrible.

What’s the best place to eat close to the Gardette Park for good French food. Say, within 10 or 15 minute walk. Nothing too trendy. Somewhere a local would eat.
La Comete is a 5 minute walk (south and east) and serves wonderful french food at decent prices. Nothing fancy but delicious.
